I recently had the privilege of taking my mother out to lunch at Talho Central on her birthday, a restaurant that I hold dear to my heart located in the "margem sul" region. I always order their Picanha, and I have never had an issue with the quality of their food. However, on this particular occasion, the flavor of the potatoes seemed to have an undertone of fish, and the Picanha was not as satisfactory as it had been in the past. When I was presented with the check, I noticed that we had been charged for items that we had not ordered, and the price of the wine had been increased from 4.50€ to 5€ without my knowledge. This was a rather strange situation, and I am somewhat apprehensive to return to the establishment. Nevertheless, I will give them another chance to prove that the quality of their food has not diminished.

Visited with 6 friends for my wife’s birthday it was noisy because a large family had lots of children, the food was good and the service flowed well, I would go again.

Unfortunately the last visit was a disaster: tuna seviche was strange, duck folhas overdone and tasteless and the meat is so-so. Asked to bring a warm temperature but the chef probably doesn’t understand what it means to properly serve the meat.

The quality of the meat is one of the best I have ever tasted, I don't think you can find a restaurant as good nearby. The prices average about 15€ per person which is not the cheapest but there are more expensive places and not as good. On Sundays there is an all you can eat menu and there is also a vegetarian option which is good to know too.

The meat is of very high quality. This, paired with great dish presentation, a very nice staff, and affordable prices, makes talho central an excellent experience.

booked a table for my birthday (7 people) and was informed on the day that bookings weren’t possible and that there would be a fixed menu. when i called out the disorganisation instead of owning up to it the blame was put on other “coworkers” although it was the same woman that took the reservation. when i called again to cancel the reservation the woman on the phone didn’t apologise once and was very happy to hear we wouldn’t be coming. went to a more local restaurant instead where the service was superb.

The Meat is good, the price / quantity ratio is quite steep though. You pay a lot, for 6 small (or even less... i dont recomend the Kobe, 4 small and really and i mean really thin slices with a 15 euro tag) pieces. Beware the entries... they are also very expensive. Love the sweet chips and salad.

This new restaurant is hands down one of the best I've eaten at in Portugal. The interior is modern and cosy, and the waiters are so sweet and eager to adapt to your language. Now for the food, the fact that the restaurant is also a butchery speaks for itself. The meat was absolutely delicious. And they didn't rely entirely on it. Everything was fresh and homemade, from the hamburger buns to the sauce. I loved it and absolutely recommend it.
