Great traditional food, and great prices.
Rice and beans (or lentils), spaghetti, salad of the day, and fried chicken. All very good. Ophelia is such a nice, wonderful person.
They have other items on the menu as well, of course. $3.50 per plate.
The dining area is covered, but open on the sides so you get a nice breeze while eating.
I'm not sure if you can get a beer there, but it's more of a breakfast and lunch place. I think it closes in the early afternoon. Like many small-town restaurants, the bathrooms are small, dirty feeling, and smelly (probably because all toilet paper must go into the waste basket, not the toilet, due to the septic systems), but you get used to these kinds of things when you live here. There is a sink to wash your hands against the side wall of the kitchen before you get to the bathrooms.
If you're taking a taxi to get there, you can just ask to go to Ophelia's. They may not even know the real name. All in all, it's a great place to eat, and our kids love it too.
Great food and a great price. Very good place for breakfast even if you don’t know the language.
