What a memorable dining experience! The ambiance is warm and inviting, the servers were friendly and attentive, and the the food was oh, so, good. The flameados - camarones al tequila and curry chicken were fun to watch be prepared and incredibly flavorful. We will definitely be back! We've been in San Carlos for five days and this is the first restaurant I can finally give a good review. Food and service was great and that guy playing the piano made for a memorable evening. We'll be back tonight. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was our first time eating at Blackie's. We both ordered the petit chateaubriand, it was seriously the best steak I've had in years. Armando prepared it tableside and it was cooked to perfection, so tender and flavorful. Armando was very attentive, even with multiple parties having flambe. We shared a flan for dessert. My husband thought it was too "eggy" but I enjoyed it. The vibe was relaxed, music was unobtrusive, just instrumental Mexican ballads. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will be back and will recommend it to friends.

Best hashbrowns I've ever tasted. Filled rich with butter. Also the bowl of fruit was very delicious as well. Everything really. Going to make this the place to go for breakfast next time we come back. Meal type Breakfast

Beware! They add taxes on top of the menu’s prices which is illegal in Mexico! And then they ask for a tip on top of that total price (I don’t mind to leave a tip but I don’t like to be fooled by extra charges).

Not impressed with the food, but the service was good. I changed my mind about what kind of salad I wanted, but they brought it to the table anyway and we were charged for it. It was unremarkable, and so were the Cesar salads. We sent our mustard steaks back to be cooked a little more. By the time they were ready, our table mates had finished their food. Was expecting a baked potato, but received two tablespoons of mashed. Have been hearing about that restaurant for years. First visit and the last!

Would not allow service dog to stay in restaurant. Seated but told after a few minutes not acceptable. All credentials shown, but told support dog had to vacate. Staff where very professional adhering to house rules. Been here before and this is an excellent restaurant. Service, and menu very good. Food and presentation above average. Prices on the higher end for San Carlos but worth it. Kudos to the chefs and staff. Would be 5 stars if service dogs where considered.

Fabulous food, wonderful wait staff and very good English. I had shrimp stuffed with crab and a cream sauce on top. It was amazing! Well worth the visit.
