A great location with a great view! BUT, only at daytime, because the white LED lights above tables are way too strong and quite irritating to the eye, making the place look like a bus station waiting room. Those bulbs really need to be changed into some more discreet yellow lighting, because unfortunately they are ruining the place. What about some candles on tables or similar to boost a nice atmosphere in the evening? The food was fine, but not exquisite. However, the prices were unjustified! The service was below standard, not much pleasantries. With certain improvements and a better service the place could be quite nice. I hope it will happen in the future! Amazing food, service and sea views. Staff was very accommodating, it was open for lunch at 3:30 when most places were closed. I highly recommend it, definitely I’m coming back! Personally one of the best views on the island. Mgarr harbour is just underneath and one can see the ferry’s operating between the three islands. The restaurant is based over different terraces which the first terraces is excess able by wheelchair. There are both indoor and outdoor tables. The location has a bar with a pool table and big screen acting as a sports bar. This is practically separate from the restaurant itself. It also houses a traditional “bocci” pitch which is attended by local players. The food includes a lot of traditional options and there are always a lot of daily specials. There are limited vegan options but the staff is very accommodating, efficient and fast. I strongly suggest you book as the place is pretty busy. Prices are a bit on the rise everywhere so I found it a tad expensive. Double check prices for the specials before ordering. The view is undeniably stunning. It's location is perfect for family date, or even for friends but for a romantic date it absolutely perfect. You can overlook the next island Comino from here. Food is good but the service is not the best. Not so friendly nevertheless we enjoy our stay. Toilet is clean and vibes of the restaurant is amazing. Xerri’s (pronounced sherry), as locals call it, is legendary for their view. When seated on one of the terraces, you have a panoramic vista of the Gozo Channel, the Blue Lagoon, and the islands of Camino and Malta. Watching boats passing in and out of the harbor is mesmerizing. The service is professional and attentive in this beautiful, traditionally styled Qala restaurant overlooking farmland and the sea. The menu is decidedly Mediterranean, offering pizza, pasta, fish, chicken, beef, pork, and rabbit. I had fried calamari that was prepared perfectly. My partner’s cannelloni had great flavor but was overcooked, leaving the pasta mushy. Xerri’s pizza has high marks from everyone. It is also kinder to your budget than the rest of the menu, which we found over-priced compared to other local restaurants of similar style and quality. There is a full-service bar serving cocktails, wine, and beer. Xerri’s is a delightful place to enjoy a meal or a bottle of wine while gazing at the blue Mediterranean. TIPS: -Booking a table is recommended this popular spot is busy during lunch and dinner. -Ask your server for the prices of the chalkboard specials. For some reason, they aren’t included. I didn’t ask and was shocked when I saw the cost of my main course on the check. Amazing view and amazing food. This place is a must during the day. The view is breathtaking and their offer is a good mix at a reasonable price. I’ve found the waiters very kind and keen to explain further the food. Toilettes were not the best.
