An experience with food creations that we weren’t expecting when we first entered. Each dish is fully explained. The chef lady came out and went around to each table to talk to us about the food. They have a real passion for food creations. We went with a 5-course meal with each portion perfectly sized, that had a variety of flavors. A perfect restaurant with local food, specials of the day, great service from waiter and cook!!! We had a fabulous time. Super! Everything was very tasty! Fish soup is so soft and amazing! Pasta with seafood is delicious! The whole place is tidy, nice and cozy. Our waiter was extremely helpful and professional, proposed a good aquavit to try. One of the best place on Lofoten.

It was absolute perfect for us. Cosy little restaurant and even though the prices are a bit above average we think the quality of the food is more than worth it. We are not sure if we have ever eaten food which was as delicious as we did here. Highly recommend checking this place out! Service was wonderful and they were really accommodating for my vegetarian friend. I had a delightfully creamy fish soup and she enjoyed fried burrata.

Excellent and personal service, wonderful food, cozy atmosphere: these are this place's major treats. The setting is nice and informal and our waiter from Gent, Belgium, did a splendid job. The portions are a bit too large for our appetite and the prices on the high end of the spectrum, but it's we'll worth it! If in Henningsvaer, this is your place for a lovely dining experience!

Small restaurant, therefore they can focus on making fabulous food for the guests that got a table. Must book a long time (months) in advance to get a table. Definitely worth a visit.

Came in for a late lunch, I had a seafood pasta in tomato sauce which was... amazing. I had to take a picture to show all the kinds of seafood and colors in this dish. Wasn't prepared to have to work so hard for my lunch (so many shells) but it was definitely worth it. The bread that came with the pasta was so fresh, and came with butter as well as a small bowl of sea salt that, when sprinkled over the butter, really heightened the taste. Aside from all the amazing shellfish and fish, do dip your bread in the tomato sauce (when you find it under all that seafood). So good. Also, the restaurant is clean and fresh, the staff is friendly and efficient but the bathrooms... are insane. I thought the bathroom tried to seduce me with its lit candles, flowers and other decorations. Obviously also spotless and fresh (although the scent sticks might be too much for someone sensitive to scents).

Fantastic. Just got to our hotel after eating a 5 dish at Lofotmat. Atmosphere, personnel and food was all 5 stars. You feel welcome and the service you get is unquestioned. You can have a conversation about Lofoten and Norway without feeling that you are annnoying. He will gladly answer your questions. Thank you for tonight!
