We took the cooking class on our last day in Essaouira. We wished we had done it at the beginning. We went to the market and learned lots of interesting information. The class was really good and interesting, and then the treat at the end to sit down and eat what we had learned to cook in this lovely friendly and relaxed restaurant. It was delicious. The whole experience was really lovely, and huge thanks to our very friendly hosts. An excellent address and highly recommended. The is a MUST GO TO restaurants if you’re around Essaouira. The food is super fresh with best flavours. The atmosphere and vibe were exceptional. Staff was so friendly and attentive, by far our best experience in Morocco. We tried shrimp and Essaouira Tagine, it was marinated with herbs, definitely worth a try 👍

We’ve done many restaurants in Essaouira and this one had caught our eyes. From just the small, handwritten menu outside. I can confidently recommend this as one of the best restaurants in Essaouira. I certainly had my best meal in my time in Essaouira this year in Chez Les Frères. It’s owned by brothers, passionate chefs with a true love for food and you can taste this in every bites of their dishes. We had the falafels and the Zaalouk to start with. The falafel were exquisite, with a taste of freshness, and the Zaalouk had a more warm taste with hints of smoke paprika. Delicious… then.. the monkfish tajine. A sweet caramelised onion seasoned with cinnamon… with cooked to perfection pieces of monkfish. It was just absolutely yummy! We were left with one feeling. The food was delicious 😋 and atmosphere perfect with music 🎵🎶 and we did cooking class that was something that I never will be forget ! You need to try ! We went shopping and preparing and after having an amazing dinner ! And is accessible for wheelchair people. Thanks 🙏 for your hospitality. Wonderful place. I came a bit early as I had skipped lunch after a long day. I was very hungry. The chap who owns it cooks everything fresh from scratch. I had the monkfish with garlic, parsley, and salad, which was magnificent. When I asked for a diet coke, instead of telling me he did not have it, he hopped on his bike and was back 2 minutes later. Just an example of the service. Really well priced meal. Cannot recommend highly enough. We went there with a private group to get an awesome cooking class by Marwan. We started out shopping all the ingredients in the souks to then make countless different dishes. A true home from home! The brothers were most hospitable, the food was beyond delicious and the ambiance represented all of Essaouira…relaxed, friendly and personable. Tagines, grilled fish, classical vegetarian dishes … all were fantastic! I even got to try my hand in the kitchen. Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend this place 🙂

You will not regret this stop. The brothers are there to cook and to greet you. Everything is fresh, cooked in real time. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The brothers talk to you about them and about their history. They are all chefs and grew up in the same place they greet you.
