This is the greatest spot near Providence Public Library. Don't forget to taste good bacon, tempura and seafood risotto at this bar. Try tasty ice cream, crème brûlée and fruitcake. According to the guests' opinions, waiters offer delicious wine, coffee martini or scotch. After a long working day, you can try great espresso. Invite your girlfriend to Res American Bistro with a wonderful atmosphere. The atmosphere of hospitality of this place highly depends on the hostess, that is competent here. From the visitors' point of view, prices are adequate. Cute decor is here to attract more visitors. Based on the users' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.8.

We will not be returning to Res. Service: Miguel S., although you were a very pleasant waiter, you only informed us about the specials after we inquired, and that was following our appetizer order. The service was quite slow, resulting in a meal that stretched over three hours. We appreciate your effort to come and apologize for the delay. Atmosphere: We sat in the upstairs area, where it was both hot and noisy. The women's bathroom, in contrast, was extremely cold. Washing my hands there felt like using the icy water left over from melted ice in a cooler. Food: They were out of so many beer options that we had to ask which ones were actually available. Additionally, they did not have the sparkling rosé we wanted. My salmon was tasty, but the plate was not sufficiently heated, and the spinach was overly salty. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his lamb. The dessert was impressively creative and we appreciated it. However, overall, this dining experience did not justify the expense of over $190. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Haven’t been in a long while but remembered liking it when I came. Came with a friend who is gluten-free so we decided to share everything listed as GF on the menu. So glad I tried the chicken breast with mashed potatoes. Au jus sauce so the gravy is GF too ; SO good. Highly recommend, to anyone. Not just GF people. The chicken was perfectly marinated and they split it in half for us when we said we were sharing. They start you off with bread which is obviously gluten so I got to eat two of those because she can’t. Whipped butter was a nice touch. Hope they don’t take the chicken dish off the menu or change it. It’s perfect. Will be recommending that to everyone. The appetizer we ordered was fine. Like Cambodian style agedashi tofu instead of Japanese style. It was listed as tofu fries so I found the shape to be a little boring. They could be more fun if they were sliced in another half long ways. Served with Thai style sweet chili sauce. Wedge Salad was better and the chicken was fantastic. Excellent spot if you’re looking for a classy night out in Providence. Came here for the RI Food Fights burger competition, and their burger was by far the best tasting and was the best value, as you also got fries and a side of chicken nuggets. I also ordered a Brussels app, it was not what I expected and unlike most Brussels dishes that I’ve had, but it tasted great. The rest of their menu looked amazing as well. It’s definitely not cheap, but you will get what you pay for here. The pistachio martini was also delicious and unique. Bartender was friendly and conversational as well. It’s also in a great location right across from Trinity Rep so could make for a good pre-show meal. An excellent choice if you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just to splurge a little. July 2023 -Had a great time at brunch with family. Food, drinks, and service were excellent. November 2023 - Came back for dinner. Wow! Enjoyed oysters, shrimp, tuna tartare, shaved Brussel sprouts salad, seafood risotto, and Moroccan lamb. Everything was prepared perfectly and drinks and service were amazing! Don't miss this spot. We had our wedding reception at Res, everything was absolutely amazing. The owner, Evan, and Caity, the event coordinator, were so accommodating. They helped us customize our menu to our liking, seating arrangements, and decor. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the space was, food was outstanding (the steak was to die for!), and the service was out of this world. They absolutely made our visions come to life and the day was so perfect, thanks to them! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Classy spot in Providence. Great service from the valet to the servers. Clean atmosphere from the dining area to the bathroom. Delicious food. Higher end but not as pricy actually for the vibe. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was good although the burger was unimpressive. Not bad just unimpressive. Will def be back and order something else. The charcuterie and my wife’s scallops and risotto were excellent. The drinks were outstanding, 5 of 5. The service was also outstanding. The young woman who took cares of us did an excellent job. My only complaint about this place is that’s it TOO LOUD. Having loud music play while enjoying a meal just takes away from the dining. 2 thumbs down on loud music during dinner! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

BEWARE!!! My husband and I were very excited to try Res, with its high reviews and well thought out menu. We arrived for our Friday evening reservation to a mostly empty dining room, which we thought was odd for a spot so central to downtown. We were promptly greeted and seated, and put in drinks with our lovely waiter. We had picked out our courses and were awaiting the cocktails when I saw something run across the dining room floor out of the corner of my eye. Yes, a diners worst nightmare, vermin in the eating area. We quietly stood up to leave as the mouse circled our feet. As we showed the waiter the video we had captured of the animal, right next to people enjoying their entrees, he said, “we’re trying our best”, which bewildered me. For somewhere that is considered fine dining with 40-50 dollar entrees, it’s unfathomable that any excuse can be made for this. Never mind, the public health and safety crisis it incurs. Go dine literally anywhere else. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We had the Duck Confit with duck fried rice ($36), Lamb Loin Chop Special ($44), the grilled octopus special served with cous cous ($22), and a grilled wedge salad. The specials were probably over priced but they were delicious. The octopus was well seasoned and tender and the Lamb Loin Chops Special was perfectly cooked but you'll probably be just as happy with the Moroccan Lamb Rib Chops for less money. The duck confit comes with a lot of delicious hoisin sauce flavored rice so it is quite filling. The duck confit is very mild (almost more like chicken than gamey duck) and a little dry but still delicious. The drinks here are perfect. First time dining in at Res american bistro. Great ambiance, delicious cocktail, very attentive server for our table, Justin, were our first impression of Res. We had Lobster Tempura, Lamb chops, Burrata salad, Flatbread as appetizer, and The grille’s filet as main dish. Our favorite dishes were lobster tempura and burrata salad with pistachio pesto. For the lamb chop, actually we liked roasted onion mostarda came out as a side better than the actual lamb. Chef Evan seems like talented and experimental on putting different cultural aspect together in each dish. We still have many other dishes we want to try here at Res, so definitely coming back. Event manager, Katie, was also very nice on explaining on details about event options at the 2nd floor when we had some questions. Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
