We took family from Wellington here for breakfast. They were impressed. The food was lovely, staff were wonderful, which isn't all that common in New Plymouth. Absolutely gorgeous setting, up on the hill overlooking the river. We called in for brunch, and the food was delicious. I can't go past chicken waffles, and these did not disappoint! I can imagine the deck, with the amazing view would be an ideal spot for a beer on a summers afternoon. The staff were incredibly friendly, and they loved our dog.

This is a restaurant that always delivers. It's spacious inside, thanks to the high ceiling and generous space between tables. The deck is the place to sit on a sunny day, with it's marvellous views down on to variant, a river and wooded hillsides opposite. This place has an upmarket feel. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The location with gorgeous views, the staff with awesome customer relation skills and food that never disappoints makes this one of our favorite places to eat. Whether its brunch, lunch or dinner the meals are generous and presented beautifully so its not only a delicious experience but also a delight for the eyes. Excellent wine and beverage list and gr8 coffee too 😋 Had the lamb salad which makes me salivate just rembering how tasty it was! Meal type Lunch

Have had breakfast here a few times and got to try their dinner for the first time last night, it was fantastic! So good I forgot to take photos! I had the eye fillet and my partner had the beef cheeks and they were both SO good. The atmosphere here is really cool with great views over the river. Highly recommend, if I lived in New Plymouth, I would take a weekend to stay at the hotel (One Burgess Hill) and go to the restaurant a couple times, would be a great staycation!

Visiting NP to see the folks and stopped in here for brunch. Absolutely wonderful experience. I had the Croissant Eggs Bene which was delicious and everyone else was super impressed with their choices as well (also great fries). Coffee was good and service was excellent. Can't recommend this place enough. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch

Ordered quails nest breakfast worth 30.00. You'd think that with that amount, you'll get a very good breakfast meal right? Well, my experience is totally opposite! I found the food very dissapointing! Poached eggs was OVERCOOKED! falafel is dry as hell (like a hard rock literally). The service was meh. Overall a very mediocre place. We went for dinner, fabulous meal. Will be definitely going back. Great staff and good COVID-19 practices. Clean and tidy rest rooms. Good parking. We didn't wait long between meals. Yummy. Great view as well.

Great place with lush views, delicious food made of local ingredients, stylish interior. Coffee and service are good too! This place is also suitable for functions or a a short staycation, as they have cabins and a motel attached to the restaurant. My family loves their breakfasts, serene and abundant.
