[taitung ETAs] we just had a really lovely vegetarian birthday dinner here thanks to the equally amazing food and hospitality. We called a day before and both reserved a table and ordered ahead of time.
We all got the set meals (400 NT), which came with 2 light appetizers, a main meal, soup, and a dessert. The plating was beautiful, the food was nourishing and flavorful, and there were so many creative culinary aspects grounded in Taitung's seasonality. The 3-cup tofu and mushrooms, fresh pineapple juice, dragonfruit fried rice, and soup really stood out. Definitely a special meal for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
The proprietress also so kindly made our birthday caking and song singing even more special by turning out the lights, bringing us cutlery for the cake, and graciously letting us sit around for a while after our meal had ended.
tl;dr: A super sweet family is running this place and making really delicious and creative vegetarian food that will leave you feeling fueled and ready to enjoy Taitung's beauty! (Check out the Xinliang Wetlands for some excellent, respectful bird watching)

Unfortunately we arrived there at a day, when they didn‘t have any food (or maybe they where even closed). Nevertheless, they took us in and served us what they had. Vegetarian dumplings with a curry filling and fried vegetables. It was very tasty- they where super friendly and even switched on some music for us (we where the only guests).

Great vegetarian food in a modern comfortable atmosphere. We shared several rice dishes that each had a very unique flavor and were super delicious. The owner/cook kindly answered all our questions about the recipes (one dish was made with tea oil).My friends also got the set menu on another day and loved it.
Recommend to call in advance in case you want to eat a late dinner.
Excellent food in this restaurant that opened in July 2018. The staff is very friendly, the quality of the food and the presentation are great. The restaurant is stylish. A really nice surprise in Luye not far from the train station.
出來玩就是要聽在地人的推薦，青青嚐味的菜單都是原型食物沒有素料。蔬菜煎餅外脆內軟，營養滿分。隱藏版的貓耳朵麵疙瘩套餐，搭配山野菜蛋花湯ㄧ上桌就被搶食一空，相機沒吃到。苦瓜味噌湯、老菜埔蛋、炸蔬菜都很好吃，是瑞源車站素食唯一首選。
