Scenatic view to waterfall but no staff to serve at peak time.
Good music and seat, though.

This cafe opened since 2001 and is the first coffee shop across the Wulai waterfall. Four stars for close-up view of the waterfall, peaceful and friendly lady boss. Coffee is not artisan, try mountain pepper (馬告)latte for novelty. Take mosquito repellent with you when visiting Wulai (烏來) as the ‘little black mosquito’ is notorious!

It's the worst coffee shop I've ever been to. While looking for a waterfall, I am paying a high price to drink coffee. They are afraid they're twisting their food order. Then let me know from the start. I would not have chosen it. I feel so restrained without giving me freedom of movement. Never go. Coffee is not good either.
My first impression was that it was a bit pricey. But after sitting down and enjoying the view and scenery, I'd be happy to pay that premium. HOWEVER, one thing we didn't realize until it was too late is that they actually have several floors and that the lower floors are almost better than the ground floor. They also have a huge kids playing area in the lower floor, which is great if you're traveling with kids I guess :)
