Brought my son for his first time golfing and he had a great time practicing driving, enjoying riding a cart to view course and seeing others. People at the driving range and pro-shop made it alot of fun too chatting and enouraging him. We also got the excitement of "FOUR!!" and a ball plopping nearby. Was a perfect cool Spring Day and course in terrific inviting condition to enjoy!
Thanks for a Great first day!!
Great golf course, they have put a lot of work into the greens and fairways this year. The bar/grill is nice and well priced and the members of the staff are awesome! (shout out to Cody!!) Prices to golf are fair, wish they had deals on some of the golf apps to help lower the cost but still a great place to play!!
They just got new golf cars, have a store, a restaurant and bar.
Parking is very easy and convenient. Prices are fair. Staff are SUPER friendly. It’s always a good experience when we go. We appreciate the staff, good food, and bar!
Very clean restrooms are always an added bonus
I have been golfing at Plumas Lake GC for over four years. Lately, the course had fallen into disrepair. Recently, a new course management company took over. Thank you!! The rough has been mowed, trees trimmed, sprinklers turned on, and the greens are in very good shape. I like the course because it is remote and away from city noise. There is enough to make it a challenge with trees, water, and a few hills. Overall, I like the course and highly recommend it. Also, after the round, I had a chicken wrap with a beer, and they were terrific.
A few years ago I wrote a very negative review about this golf course ( have now deleted) I am happy to say I have been there a few times recently and would just like to say how GREAT it is now. New ownership has done a great job with the course and I'd just like to recognize that. Thank you
Beautiful Course! Well manicured, best greens I’ve been on in a long time.
Friendly staff, thank you Chris. Very reasonable green fees. Nice hidden gem. Highly recommend.
Pace of play was a bit slow, and as is the case with winter golf, the fairways and rough were pretty indistinguishable. Course was challenging, with plenty of risk/reward holes. And ball hunting in the weeds was superb!! Found 75 balls! I would love to return in the summer and play the course again.
Just played this course for first time and will be back. The course is in excellent condition and a blast to play. I have played country clubs in the greater Sacramento area and would say Plumas Lakes is in equal or better condition. It is very fair and is a good challenge for a high handicapper like me but it's not difficult - I really enjoyed playing the course. The rates are very favorable as well. The staff is friendly and set up to provide very good service on the turn. I live in Rocklin so it was a bit more of a drive but I will say 100% worth it. I'll be back many times in the future. Play this course!
Tricky but fun greens. Course was in great shape. Great Turn Dog and ice cold beer. Restaurant and pro shop staff were top notch. Excited to go back soon.
I understand weekend golfing is in demand but went I went there to pay for my tee time and cart fee, they told me we have a cart shortage and were charging me for the cart to ride with a random, if there was a PSA before booking I would respect that. The clubhouse house guy had a horrible attitude, highly doubt I’ll be back, river oaks and teal bend has never done that to me. Tee time was for 6:54, If I knew the random it would be no problem. The clubhouse guy probably thought I was a new golfer or something but definitely lost my business.
