What's a good reason to go to Perkins? Pie, muffins, and traditional American breakfasts are all legit answers. I was surprised to realize we hadn't been there in years, but after our visit, I remembered why. Let's start with the physical. Our table was visibly sloping to one end, and was so loose that even resting an arm on it caused huge movement. On to food. I aimed for the center of what Perkins does well, ordering a Granny's Omelette with breakfast potatoes and an apple cinnamon muffin. The omelette was good. The potatoes were slightly off; maybe the grease was old. The muffin was delicious. Overall, A-. Service? I liked our waitress; she had a sense of humor. But the truth is, she didn't take great care of us. I sat there with an empty iced tea for a long time. Finally, my wife asked for it to be refilled, and the answer was "sure", but it never was; apparently it was forgotten. It's not that Perkins is bad - it's not - but with many, many other options, I'm just being honest when I say we're not exactly in a rush to go back. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Emmy was a true blessing, she was able to help me with my menu selection and guide me away from my allergy restrictions and help me get the perfect meal. I went to Perkins for the first time in a while and the food was really good. Me and my partner both enjoyed our dishes. I had the California eggs benedict and my only critique would be that the tomatoes were a little much I feel like they can get away with using less of them. The biggest reason for my lower review is the service are waitress seemed like she was in a rush to just get us out of her hair. I ended up feeling rushed because she kept coming back multiple times asking us if we are ready when the menu is pretty large and it takes a little bit of time to decide what you want to spend money on since a lot of the things range from being $10 and up. Then when it was time to leave our waitress took a long time to give us the check and to get a box for us so the service definitely could be better. I went to Perkins with my husband and our two infant daughters. We felt at home and the service was amazing. The food was excellent. Brenda was our server and she was fast, efficient and was really sweet to our babies. I've been to places where I've not been treated great because I have my kids. The cinnamon french toast platter was an excellent choice. It was a lot of food, perfect for a busy day of vacationing. I would recommend this Perkins. The waitress was polite and efficient. Had dinner here tonight. Had Tori as my waitress. She treated me like family. Also want to mention Kiar. That young man was not my waiter, but I was very impressed how he carried himself, how he treated customers, and his manners/professionalism. We never know who is watching when we go through our normal day. But Kiar stood out and it was a pleasure seeing folks do their job... with a flair for showing they Care. Management here has someone doing a wonderful job of qualifying the people who represent them as a face to the public. With Kiar and Tori, there are two people others may try to lure away from you. Hang onto them Perkins! This chain is one of my favorite stops. Wish they had more locations south of I-80. Tonight I had the pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon, a piece of apple pie, and coffee. All of it presented and tasted very good.
