Food was amazing, service impeccable and atmosphere cozy and romantic (we were lucky to dine during a night with live music). The only reason I am giving it only 4 stars is because of the price compared to most other restaurants in the area. We were charged 25 euros for a Maltese platter that we split as a starter, and the fresh fish of the day (sea brim) was 34 euros for about 450g (with skin and bones). It usually costs 5-6 euros per 100 grams in other places, and this one had nothing extra to justify it. Location is nice, slightly off tourist route, which is good. As it is currently off season its difficult to evaluate things, however the restaurant itself looks cozy and tidy, there’s tarrace with tables, food was amazing - we’ve ordered recommended specialty - tagliateli with trufles, beef, mushrooms and cream - excellent dish it is. The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary, but tasty overall. We also enjoyed the rose wine from Salento, which was good. We unfortunately did not have the chance to sit on the terrace and inside was too hot and would recommend to get an AC inside as it disrupts the comfort. We had a dinner today in Peperoncino Food was very tasty. We had an octopus dish as a starter and grilled red snapper as a main. Both dishes were very good. But unfortunately the service in this place is just terrible. The waiter lady serving our table had a bad attitude, she even made a sour comment that I used a wrong knife for a stater, which was totally unacceptable for a waiter. After we had our main course, we were completely forgotten. They didn’t ask if we would like anything else, we were not offered any deserts or coffee. I had the pleasure of dining at this outstanding Italian-style restaurant, and it truly exceeded my expectations. While their menu offers only a select few courses, each dish is meticulously prepared from scratch in their kitchen. This is an Italian style top notch restaurant. Just a few courses on the menu, but everything carefully prepared, from the ground, in their kitchen. Excellent service. This type of restaurant shall never be compared to, or even estimated, to all of the concept restaurants that is popping up like mushrooms everywhere around the world. Best restarurant in Malta. Excellent food and service, the staff was really kind (maybe takes some time between dishes when crowded, totally understandable) but is worth 100%.
