This place is gorgeous. The deco, the ambience and even the staff are super nice. They can be a bit flurrful when theres a crowd of people waiting to be seated on a full Saturday lunch hour, but I think they handle themselves pretty well considering. I love the selection of food here. Mostly local delicacies but some chicken chop and pasta too to cater for everybody in the family. Price is reasonable, considering the comfortable chairs and pretty decorations. Deserts are the same as Red Card, my other favourite place. They even have a surau for your convenience, altho I have never prayed here as my house is only 1 min away. We celebrated my daughters 6th bday here. Make sure you reserve in advance for large parties or the wait is long. I have tried the lontong kering, nasi goreng, chicken chop, mac and cheese, curried pasta, cucur udang, mushroom soup and salted egg chicken. I recommend them all. Well not in one sitting. Follow me for more reviews in Bangi and across Malaysia. Btw, I miss my kids 🤧 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Maryland Fried Rice

At first glance, this looked like a really interesting cafe. There are 3 eating sections inside, a main area just inside the entrance, a smaller section off the kitchen, and an extension with a glass roof. We wanted to sit inside as it was a hot day, but the staff declined our request to separate a longer table just to seat the two of us. So off to the glass section we went. On a less hot day that would have been pleasant. But not when you have to wait for over 20 minutes for your beef fried rice. A few more fake plants hanging overhead could have provided a little more shade from the afternoon sun. The lempeng was nice and arrived pretty fast. And the soto was decent and in quite a large portion. Too bad the fried rice arrived when everything else was finished. I ended up packing it for takeaway. Portion was big but it was too spicy and oily. Mixed feelings about this one. Definitely room for improvement. Trying to open up a new hipster cafe in this current climate is a very hard thing to do. Imagine choosing a good name, a good logo, making good food, and spending money to have a good interior. And you need to stand out albeit all these other cafes, all while trying to fight off the more familiar franchises. I don't envy these guys one bit except for one thing: passion. It's probably the only thing that drives these small owners (although this cafe is actually under another famous restaurant in Bangi). So enough about that short anecdote about hipster cafes. And on to the review. I actually went here and ordered based on my colleague's suggestion: the beef fried rice. And from what I gather around my friends food, I can tell you this: Their local dish is better than the Western ones. Way, way better. The beef fried rice and the char kuey teow is definitely the stand out dish for me. So probably order those more than the others. Unfortunately I didn't try any of their coffees or teas. I only gargled on the apple juice. Which is fine. It's not bad by my high standards. So can't really comment on the other ones. The probably downsides of the place is once the place is packed, you're probably ended up waiting for quite a while for your food. So make sure to either arrive earlier than expected. Or, you know have a little bit patience. The other thing is probably that the food quality can vary from person to person. For instance, my friend said that her beef fried rice is saltier than mine. I didn't taste her plate, but she did mine. So I'm just gonna trust her word for it. The place isn't big, but not small either. I'd say it's sufficient. You can bring together a small group of friends, or families. Just probably no bigger than 15 people. Oh and the table is a little smaller too. Overall, it's a very good cafe. Me and my friends did enjoyed our time there But of course there's room for improvement. Which I hope to see in the future. love the cafe's ambience! i chose to sit at the partially outdoor site and it was magnificent. the natural lighting make the surrounding feels even better. there are also parking lots provided beside the cafe. for the food, i am truly amazed by the well-seasoned, large portion dishes! ordered their rice set and i am absolutely satisfied with it. they also serve pastry and cakes which, looks very tempting. soo glad that i came here to try their dishes and now im in love! this cafe truly deserves 5 stars and i would definitely come again. Nice cosy cafe but packed at times. Please call for reservation to ensure seats are available. It serves western (Sirloin Steak, Grilled Salmon, Lamb Chop etc) and Malaysian cuisines (Soto Ayam, Curry Noodle, Lontong Kering, Char Kuey Tiew, Mee Goreng Mamak etc). Meals are served in big portions and reasonably priced. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Maryland Fried Rice

I order 4 dishes, chicken chop, maryland fried rice, sun dried tomato, fish n chip. Honestly, the portion is big, and the price affordable. But the chicken for fried rice n chicken chop really salty, too salty, and the fried rice is tasteless. Fried fries also too salty. The pasta, just ok not tasty but not too bad but the staff is kind and soft spoken. I think if the food taste improve i will come again. The cake a little bit dry, just ok The drink is ok and big as well. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

A spinoff of an already established cafe in the commercial area of Bangi, Pejam Mata sits like a shiny new thing in an old residential neighbourhood. Decorated in contemporary design language appealing to urban Malaysian cafe goers, it promises, and to a limited extent, delivers. However, as with any teething food outlet, it has its pros and cons. In the heat of the current El Niño, we were asked to sit under their airconditioned glass roof section which they promised to be "not hot". Initially the bright direct glaring sun was tolerable... until it wasn't. Perhaps a light tint or some kind of retractable cover on the glass roof instead of a sparse line of plastic plants can better filter the direct noon sunlight. Also, this glass roof section sits sunken in a parking lot, so perhaps some hedge plants outside the glass wall at road level can cover the sight of parked cars. The menu was familiar as per their original cafe but refreshed with new items. I particularly liked the new lempeng dish which came rather quickly, followed by soto ayam, portion of which was generous. Their beef fried rice came way too late (while piercing heat became increasingly unbearable) and was too oily for me. Latte was decent. No doubt this cafe will become viral, aided by their socmed campaign with the allure of urban hipsterism. However, food, atmosphere and service definitely have room for improvement.
