An eclectic, vibrant and cozy bistro nestled in the upper floor of West Mall. The service was impeccable! Extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We ordered the Thai Bowl and Coronation Bowl with added Grilled Chicken, in addition to the Paprika Special Roll. Absolutely delicious and lovely to look at! For dessert we thoroughly enjoyed the Torrija. Their Martini was one of the strongest I've had in Trinidad. A great experience overall. Was very nice was my very first time and I loved it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Sushi Appetizer
Visited the Westmall branch today (Sunday) and I was highly disappointed. The pasta was undercooked, the wait time to get our food took an entire hour after being told it should take around 20 mins. I enquired about our food 45 mins into waiting, to be told we will get our food "now" but "now" meant 15 additional minutes. The Desserts were the only good thing about our experience. Poor service, food isn't worth the hype. Will not recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Decor is not my cup of tea but I'll get into the crux of the matter. 1. Pesto pasta (didn't try this as the waiter messed up my order and brought the wrong pasta) I posted the pic for display. I didn't taste it so I cannot review. 2. Pasta #2 - the taste is really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Pasta was al dente and sauce was perfect. I did not like that mushrooms were raw an just sprinkled on top of the pasta. I also found the chicken to be dry. I had to use the pasta sauce to really soak up the chicken. 3. Thai wings - really enjoyed the flavor of these. Absolutely delicious 4. Seafood paella - the seafood tasted delicious, plump and fresh (it did not taste like frozen seafood and I thoroughly appreciated that). Definitely one of the best paellas I've had. My only gripe, would be the fish broth that the rice was cooked in, a bit too fishy-tasting for my liking. 5. Coconut Almond caramel cake - I might have the name wrong, but this cake is a dream in your mouth. Top-notch. Delicious. 10/10. It is exactly as described. There's no shortage of almonds or coconut on it. Make no mistake, I pointed out a few issues I had with the experience, but I did enjoy it overall. I will definitely return and I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
When the customers are more friendly than the owner and waitstaff there is a problem. When we arrived owner did not even greet us. After some time, the waiter showed up to take our order. Told us they could not do sushi platters which were on the menu, although the exact same items could be ordered individually. Although owner was present, he did not even bother to ask him. Waiter then studiously ignored us for the rest of the night and we had to ask another waiter to get him several times. We ordered some additional food for takeout at start of meal. At the end of our meal, after we eventually tracked him down to pay bill he left to get our takeout order, and promptly disappeared again for another 10 mins. We had to go to the kitchen, in front of owner to complain. Owner did his best to studiously ignore us. Food was left open in kitchen and only when we asked did they start packing it up. To top it off when. we were paying bill , the waiter insisted on a tip for himself, despite the service charge, and his poor service. When asked where the service charge goes, he said to the kitchen, and he gets none. This is the first time i have felt like not leaving a waiter a tip, such was his inattentiveness which frankly bordered on deliberate. Imagine you are the owner of this establishment sitting there and doing nothing about it. Frankly, it seemed if you are not from the West, these people don't seem to want your business and go out of their way to make you feel unwelcome. On a positive note, the seafood paella lash. Attempted to have a work lunch here in mid December. We were seated at a table in the corner which could barely hold our party of 3. There was no reservation sign on the table and the table was not prepared and dressed for service when we sat down. The entire restaurant was full and there were maybe 3 servers in sight. The manager, a woman who did not appear to be Trinidadian, kept staring at us to the point of making us uncomfortable. We briefly discussed how rude it was to have her standing from the distance staring but tried to ignore it. The waiters however over maybe 30mins never took our order or visited our table despite several attempts to get their attention. Eventually one of the waiters comes over and tells us that he is sorry but we have to leave the table because it was reserved for someone. It was odd that after more than 30 minutes a restaurant decided that the table but reserved so we hesitated and noticed the female manager still standing from afar looking on but never approaching to explain or apologize. We agreed to be moved to another table because we waited so long already and that time was wasted. When we saw the table being offered as an alternative it was a piece of wood forming perhaps a half table in the middle of the walkway of the restaurant with a bare bench one one far side and a couple chairs on the opposite diagonal side. Basically our party of 3 wouldn’t be sitting together: Clearly not meant to be a table at all but the manager had the misguided impression that we wanted to eat there so badly we would accept such a “table”. We declined to sit there and made the decision to leave but as we walked out we observed that we were moved from the original table for a party of 5-6 older white women who had just arrived. It was extremely disappointing that we would be displaced under untrue assertions of a reservation but even worse was the subtle but present racism of the occurrence. Several minutes later while we were walking through the food court area of the mall trying to figure out what to eat with so little time we had left, the manager decided to follow us and further lied to us saying she had a better table to offer but we left. This was the first interaction we had with this woman and I had to walk away so that I did not say what was truly on my mind. It was clear a party left and she decided to deign us with a table. We declined because the entire experience of overt racism, prejudice, poor service and unmannerly management sufficiently turned us off. Needless to say we shall never return and we discourage any people of colour to boycott such an establishment. We are also seeking legal advice regarding the incident. June 18, 2022. Seated quickly and service went down quickly. Sat for 10 minutes waiting for waiter. You have to buy bottle water. No tap filter water. The Spanish paella was overcooked, salty and no sauce. Asked for extra butter for dry toast, initially served said there was butter already but I was asking for more butter since they did not coat the toast. There was no sauce so had to use butter
