Great place for italian dishes, however there is some room for improvement. We took 3 different raviolis and Grandmas Tagliatelle. The pasta dishes were tasty and cooked perfectly but not “the best pasta ever” as some describe it. Before our main courses we got a teaspoon of tomato sauce with plain bread, but not even olive oil or salt/ pepper was put on the table. Service was very good but the dessert took longer than the main courses. The overall atmosphere was very cosy and romantic. Small Italian restaurant in old town Valetta. Good food, friendly service by the waiters. We started off with Tuna Carpaccio for starters. For main course, I ordered the Ravioli with Crab and Lobster, my husband ordered the spaghetti with squid ink and tuna from the “Specials” card. Food was tasty and fresh. For the sweet toothers, they bring by a platter of models of their home-made desserts for visualization, based on which you can choose a dessert. We booked a table last-minute on a Saturday night. I would advise pre booking on a weekend as most tables were reserved and many people missed out. I guess they are popular for a reason. The service was great; staff were friendly and accommodating. We ordered off the Specials menu, and it did not disappoint! The dishes were authentic and so tasty. Complimentary bread and dip was a nice touch. The food was fresh and flavoursome. We ordered: Mozzarella balls wrapped in bacon with honey & Burratta with truffle followed by main meals of Spicy Ravioli and the Sea bass. Would definitely recommend! Wow wow wow-best Italian I have ever had.Honestly!!!everything about this restaurant was incredible..my palate was dancing from the first bite. Beautiful family restaurant great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Situated down a narrow side street in Valletta. Seating indoors and out. Has real atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient staff. Food is excellent. Good choice of authentic Italian dishes, nicely presented, ample portion and excellent value for money. Local house wine very nice . Booking recommended as places limited. A must-visit during your stay in Valletta - but book ahead, as it’s popular and limited seats. We sat outside and had caprese to start which was nice enough, but this was followed by some of the most delicious pasta I’ve ever eaten. The Aubergine sauce was so packed full of flavour, and the handmade pasta so bouncy! We weren’t going to get dessert - but the delightful options presented on a plate of course meant a fondue caught my eye. It was divine - melt in your mouth chocolately. All well priced too. Excellent Italian meal here. Great food, lovely presentation and a reasonable price!! My husband and I had starters, main and dessert each with 2 glasses of wine and water for 85 euros. Offered us a free shot of limoncello at the end as well. The special dish I had, squid ink spaghetti with fresh tuna was excellent! Really friendly staff. Recommend booking as they got people coming in and asking for a table all night and they were almost fully booked already - it’s not a very big place.
