Lovely breakfast spot in the heart of Bryanston. Signature dishes include The PANTRY Breakfast Burger and Alessandro omelette. Food goes down well with their delicious mimosas. Breakfast is served early each morning, and on weekends you may struggle to get a table. Tends to get a bit noisy when full to capacity. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

It's a great all-day breakfast spot with light lunch options too. We visited The Pantry on a Saturday at around 12h00 for brunch. The place is VERY loud, and you have to raise your voice to listen to your companions. However, the fantastic food made it worth the visit. We will return during the week, hoping for a quieter vibe and a comfortable conversation. Service was good, although a bit slow at the end, as we had to request the bill 3 times. Before anything else, the Churro Style French Toast is the best French toast I have eaten in all my life. No contest. This restaurant is absolutely mind blowing! It has a classic café style atmosphere with enough touches of Africa that you don't forget you are in our lovely sunny country. The menu items show this same flair featuring dombolo and magwinya and other local flavors. The service is always on point and everyone from the chef to waiters are so nice and kind! The Pantry quite surprised me. The decor is quite cool and we felt quite welcome. The food, especially my plate, was amazing. The food came out fast and it's quite impressive to see the busy kitchen staff churning out food like clockwork. The food is really well presented and looks super appetising. Lovely bathroom! Our waiter wasn't the friendliest of people and didn't really pay attention to us, but that didn't spoil the lovely breakfast for us. I'd definitely go back!
