Love this place every time I come to Mazatlán. The food and pastries are so good and I just love eating with local people. The dishes are very consistent and the service is always outstanding. I will always make an effort to stop here to get something to eat, drink and take a dessert with me. I try not to compare businesses here versus what's in the States, but sometimes that can not be helped. In this case, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Panama's is a franchise, and the locations where we dined were consistent - menu, seating layout, and service. Back to comparing, Panama's reminds me of Shoney's - once upon a time, it was a popular franchise that no longer operates in the southeastern states. Shoney's with a Latin twist - maybe that's what I'm looking for. The food is tasty, and even with limited Spanish, it's not difficult to know what you're ordering. My favorite meal so far at Panama's is desayuno- breakfast! I had two eggs, sunny side up, bacon, a side of frijoles, and two large pancakes, served with lots of coffee. We even ate dessert while waiting for breakfast! Insanity, I know, but the guava cheese pie is life changing 😋 Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $100–200 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Straight forward Mexican food combined with an awesome bakery. There is a big menu, which is also available in English. Food was well prepared and nice. For dessert head to the bakery and pick what you want. My cake was layers of chocolate and vanilla deliciousness.
We were recommended this restaurant by our taxi driver and so came here for breakfast. The drinks were amazing. I ordered the blended mango drink and my companion ordered the limonjito, a delightful green drink with Kimber smell cucumber. We were super hungry upon arrival and succumbed to the temptation to get some of the slices of cake coming around on their little cart. It was a busy restaurant but the service was still pretty good. Highly recommended.

Perfect location for visiting the Basilica chapel and the giant market in the center of town. The staff was incredibly kind and patient with our large group and limited Spanish. Tacos and enchiladas were amazing and the guacamole was delicious! They even had English menus! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–100

Best one in town by far! Food's great, the staff is really nice and the prices are reasonably cheap compared to others around. When you arrive, you have to leave a phone number and they'll call you when your table's ready, since its usually quite busy, but the wait its worth it. You have to order the "Chilacas Paisano" with Chilaquiles and the "limonjito" Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $100–200
