Both Marsaxlokk Bay and opera caffelounge are recommended for visiting. If you like the Mediterranean cuisine, you should visit this cafe. It's time to try perfectly cooked hamburgers, king prawns and octopus. A number of visitors have noticed that you can have good che and tasty fruitcake here. Delicious chardonnay, white wine or ale will make your meal better and you'll surely come back. When visiting opera caffelounge, it's a must to try great coffee, smoothies or fresh juices. There is a magnificent view from this place. The pleasant staff welcomes people all year round. The spectacular service is a big advantage of this spot. In accordance with the guests' opinions, prices are affordable. As many reviewers remark, the atmosphere is cool. But this cafe is not highly appreciated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

In this place they offer happy hour but only with aperol spritz, with other cocktails you can't do it. We tried it and it was very watered down, sounded like a non-alcoholic. The toast was nothing special, I don't think I will go back to this place. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person €5–10 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Location is good, right by the sea. We were lured by the lunch menus and decided to opt for the fish soup and seafood mix. Slow service. The soup was alright but lacked flavour. The mix included only two king prawns. Calamari had a weird taste, probably because of the oil used. The mussels and octopus had a rich taste and were delicious. The menu also included dessert or coffee, which was a nice treat. Overall, not our greatest food experience in Malta but it satisfied our seafood craving.
Do not recommend!! The mussels, salmon and chicken were super dry, and the fries were undercooked, so awful. The staff were very un personal and we had to wait 1 hour for our food and 30 minutes for our drinks. Also the toilet was very awful with it being next to the bar and not very private… NEVER AGAIN!!!! To end positive, the location was nice, except for the nuclear power plant. Choose one of the other’s restaurant there. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €25–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

The waitress chewing the gum while serving people and if you kindly say thank you for anything, you won't hear you are welcome back from her. We ate calamari and it was more cooked than fried. The place it's on great position and it's good for having a drink but definitely not a food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €45–50 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

The food was untasty and not fresh ( fish & chips). Cafe and cake should be a set in promotion but was charged separately. Service was slow and not polite. There are plenty places around the coast - find a table somewhere else! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €25–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fish and Chips

You cannot imagine food worse than this. It tasted and smelled horrible. It was so bad I don’t care they brought two lattes instead of two flat whites that we ordered :/ Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person €10–15 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

Tourist trap. I would not recommend. We were in the area for the Sunday Festa so the majority of places were closed or fully booked so we ended up stopping here for a quick drink and bite to eat. Firstly; HYGIENE! There was a hair in my drink, which was replaced after pointing it out. We could also see the waiters often scratching and touching their hair and not a bottle of sanitiser in sight, which is concerning in this day & age. Secondly; Food Quality! Probably the worst food we’d ever eaten in Malta. Bruschetta was dry with hardly any tomato. The Calamari Fritti was soggy and tasteless and the kids chicken tenders were cold in the middle. Thirdly; Customer Service = non-existent. When we arrived it was ok, but after raising concerns about the food, the waiter argued with us and wouldn’t accept what we were saying and was blatantly rude to myself and the rest of my party. We then had to escalate the complaint further inside the restaurant, as this waiter was not acting in a cooperative manner. After some back & forth, they eventually agreed to deduct some items off the bill. All in all, terrible experience. Don’t get sucked in by the al fresco location on the waterfront. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
Catastrophic. Do not recommend. The food was not good and it was expensive. They have open toilet right next to the counter where they serve food. The table was extremly dirty, and the wine was warm. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €15–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
The fish was nearly raw and not exactly cheap, we got warm wine and they don't clean the tables properly. Do not recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €15–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
