Passing by Christ Church by the Sea, visit this restaurant. If you have never come across Japanese cuisine, you should order a table and try the menu at Ookii Sushi by Omoiyari. To taste perfectly cooked sushi, california rolls and tuna is a truly good idea. Nothing can be better than tasting good ice cream. The nice staff meets you at this place all year round. People mention that the service is terrific here. Prices at this spot are worth attention as they're attractive. The fancy decor and calm ambiance let guests feel relaxed here. Based on the users' feedback on Google, this restaurant deserved 4.7.

The sushi is good and has a distinctly Mexican touch (some of the Maki has hot Serrano peppers on top). The restaurant is small with only about 7 tables but it’s clean and tastefully decorated with an emphasis on casual. I would recommend no more than two dishes per person. Gotta say that this place is definitely a hidden gem. My partner and I didn't think much of it when we first saw it pop up on Google maps near where we were staying, but wanted a palette cleanser from the other foods we had been eating so decided to give this place a try. The fish here is extremely fresh and melts like butter in your mouth. The chefs here definitely take great care in their preparation and it shows. Truly one of the best sushi experiences I've ever had and I was quite surprised for that to happen in Puerto Vallarta. It's a nice establishment and it is clean. There is parking in the back with validation. We were greeted with a sample of crab/mix and chips. Would recommend if you want an American type of abiance. The food is good and fresh.
Delicious and fresh sushi! We ordered miso soups, the chu, keko, rainbow, pablito, and agua chile rolls. We way over ordered for 2 people but everything just sounded really good. My favorite were the chu and aguachile rolls. (pictured) The only thing I didn’t like was that the menu online wasn’t updated and ended up being more than what I expected. Upon delivery I was told they only charged me for one soup and tried to charge me even more! I was annoyed and didn’t appreciate the lack of communication prior to delivery.

Good quality fish and generous portions on the nigiri. Very good selection of sake. Most rolls have cream cheese, but you can always order without. Good salads too, plus excellent service.
Air conditioner thanks, liked a lot but more the fried 🍨 ice cream ..sure will be back Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Great food! We had the miso soup, gyoza, curry chicken, spicy tuna and California rolls and LOVED everything. The curry chicken was something special. Also great service!

I eat a loooot of sushi, everywhere I travel to and to be honest ookii sushi has been one of my most authentic/delicious/upscale-feeling experience. The prices are very reasonable and Fernando the chef truly knows what he’s doing. We tried the fried gyozas 🥟 which were so savory and crunchy, they resembled small hispanic empanadas. Tried 2 sushis, both exploding with flavor and jaw dropping. Not what we expected at all and seemed veryyy eccentric. Almost felt like michelin sushi. Truly enjoyed our experience there. A must try! Try the hawaiin and the kokku (believe it is the riceless veggie one, sounds ehh but did not disappoint).
