Basically a Pizza Speakeasy. Main entrance off the back street and up some stairs. It's a tiny, cozy place with 5 or 6 pizzas on the menu and one salad. Top notch for us regular, work-a-day folks. Opens at 5pm. Be there at 4:50 to get a table. Otherwise you're going to wait. But the food and atmosphere are festive and worth it. Even though there are a bunch of restaurants there, downtown San Rafael suffers from a severe case of mediocre urban vibe, and for me, nothing really stood out—until this pizza landed in my face last night. Big radicchio salad went down really well with sopressata (pepperoni, more or less) and transported me to a euphoric state.
