We have never had a bad experience at Oakwood. Their burgers are top-notch, fries are portioned to share and delicious, and the milkshakes are completely indulgent. On our most recent visit, we partook in their inaugural participation in TC Restaurant Week, and it did not disappoint. They served up savory street corn, incredibly flavorful steak frites, and finished off with Mexican wedding cake. The staff is always pleasant, and it's apparent that they take pride in their work. When the weather is warm, the outside dining area is super cute, and with a local brewery opening a second location next door, that only adds allure to the location. Take-out is always a great option too!

One of my favorite burger places I've ever been. Such a cool kinda hipster type burger spot. Very clean with unique burgers, you can see everything cooked right there. Would recommend to anyone who likes burgers. I will absolutely be back next time I'm intown.
My family has been here on a few occasions not but our most recent was for their pop up breakfast event. The food was so so delicious and filling, it didn’t take long at all to make and the prices were perfect for the amount of food you get. Would highly recommend! And if you’re unsure of you will like it, go to the sliders event were you can try multiple flavors of their burgers! 10/10 recommend!

We love the Michigan craft beef that goes into Oakwood Proper burgers. We have been here a couple times before, when visiting from Ohio, for the outstanding burgers. We stopped in tonight to try the Slider pop-up menu and to try a holiday milkshake. As always, every single thing we ordered was prepared with local products of the highest quality. We tried the Dracula, the Proper, and the Low-Country sliders, and we loved them all. It was impossible to choose a favorite, as they all were delicious. The gingerbread shake was awesome. This is great quality food & service for a great price. The kind people that took our order, prepared the food, and served our food care deeply about customer service, and it shows!

Oakwood Proper is AWESOME for Burgers and Fries!!🍔🍟 A friend and I were exploring around Traverse City and we were craving burgers. Oakwood was one of the first joints to pop up and we decided to give it a go. Did NOT DISAPPOINT!! Super kind and enthusiastic workers and the Parmesan Fries heavily smacked! Fun atmosphere too, you can tell Lisa really cares about this place :)

Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The attention to detail is incredible. Fries were incredible as well. Burgers are perfectly cooked for the style and the toppings are great. They’ve got a large beer selection and make excellent milkshakes too. All of that and the space is absolutely adorable. Definitely a place I’ll visit again and again when I visit Traverse City.

Our burgers were delicious, made with quality beef, fresh ingredients, and bakery bun. The French fry portion was huge - easily shared by 3 people. Great vibe, and the staff was truly amazing - personable and so accommodating. We were a large group, and they serviced us flawlessly. 100% recommend!

Burgers were alright - we got the Proper, Terlingua, and two El Padres. All kind of ended up tasting about the same with slight differences. Patties are thiccc and nice to see that it was local beef. Nice plus that you get a bag of free chips with burger order - Great Lakes Chips at that! Garlic Parmesan Fries had a little bit too much garlic for our liking. Didn't realize that the garlic was fresh and not in seasoning form. Note that the serving size as large! An order of fries fed a family of four adults.
They offer a unique and hearty beer selection. The two we got were interesting - the Brew Detroit Yumtown was a fave.
Outdoor patio is perfect for the summer. Limited number of seats but really cozy and enjoyable.
Service was absolutely fantastic and burgers came out quickly!

The adorable retro pink building caught my eye and beckoned me to stop in. The personable service and delicious food made me a fan! Super good smash burgers. Cooked perfectly with fresh quality ingredients. Vegetarian options too!
And we learned the buns were from the Common Good bakery across the street, so of course we stopped in there to buy some buns to bring home.
Plenty of parking and close to the TART.
