Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar is a hidden gem, offering an amazing experience. The reasonably priced and delicious food and drinks, along with Nigel's genuine hospitality, make it a standout spot. He provided fresh ingredients and did everything by himself which was very impressive. The Jerked chicken was also delicious. Nigel went above and beyond by renting us snorkel gear, showcasing his gratitude for our business. The beach of Smugglers cove was quaint and the clear blue water allowed for amazing snorkeling. The atmosphere and perspective on life it provides make it an incredible place. Nigel truly stands as the king of Tortola, and I can't wait to return. Boom Boom! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The fish sandwich was excellent. Best Painkiller so far on the island ( can't go wrong when you add your own floater). Boom boom. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nigel’s is a great little place in Smugglers Cove for drinks and atmosphere. Just be prepared with an armored truck when the bill comes. We enjoyed a beautiful day on the beach. Nigel was friendly and a very good host. However, the $20 charges add up quickly….. chairs? $20. Snorkel? $20. Hamburger? $20. Drink? $20. The next thing you know, you owe Nigel half of your 401k. The burgers and chicken sandwiches were good but come on…$20??? Absolutely not. And not for the drinks either. So just be prepared….. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Nigel is Incredible. He runs the boom boom and you can get beer, excellent mixed drinks, and great food. The beach is gorgeous and he will even rent you chairs or some equipment. It was our absolute favorite place to go on the Island. All that being said be respectful to Nigel. He is a one man band and he is doing a lot so remember you are on a beautiful beach and take your time. Also remember he is running a business and do not feel entitled to his chairs without renting them or buying food/drink. We saw some very rude people be disrespectful so be good or be gone.

Nigel's is the best. We had Painkillers and Mango daiquiries. Made with fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious, not too sweet. All drinks, including beer are ice cold!!! Nigel has beach chairs and umbrellas for rent on the beach. Cash only

If you're on or near Tortola, go! This is why you go to the BVI, a big quiet beach and all the refreshments you could want. We met Nigel in 2011 and see him every time we go back. Jan 2022. We just returned from BVI and great news, Nigel is still there and doing great! Painkillers, beach chairs, the ring game, food, and even a pool noodle float; what else do you need? Thanks for the hospitality again NIgel

Nigel is the kindest, easy-going, great cook and bar owner on Tortola. Not only did he open his business for us during his day off yesterday, but when we returned today to spend the entire day on the beach (Smuggler’s), Nigel made the best cocktails while cooking piles of hot dogs and delicious jerk chicken and shrimp. We highly recommend stopping by and being treated to unparalleled BVI hospitality at Nigel’s bar.

We loved Nigel's!!! We came back every afternoon of our trip to have painkillers! He even cooked our catch for us one day! He's a wonderful person & shows the true hospitality of the islands!
