Good place to eat with small kids and family. Recently made a trip to South Africa where we frequented the Spur as we have a 1 year old and a 3 year old, and it's a great place for them as there is a mad kids play area with all the fruit. Menu is vast and prices are still reasonable considering the cost of things these days. Service was hit and miss, some nights it was on point and other nights we are asking 3 times for a drinks order. I'd chalk it up to how busy it is on the night. I was pretty taken aback by the way they handle the kids in the play area; parents have to check them in and they get an electronic tag attached to their clothes so if they leave the premises, it alarms. Apparently this is to prevwnt potential kidnapping... Wowser. All in all, a great place to kick back and smash a chow while the kids go mad on the air hockey table (literally, they climb the thing). Some waiters take a passive aggressive approach. They suck up to you while treating you like an idiot. One time I asked for extra chips with my burger and the waiter condescendingly acted confused and mumbled some nonsense. Eventually he added chips as a side, I guess I didn't use the correct jargon. It's as if some waiters feel they deserve your tips because they kneel down and put on a show that wasn't requested. They're like vultures. Our family loves this branch of Spur. The staff always have a smile and managers come around to check frequently. Its clean and the kiddies area is well-maintained. They also have a take-away menu which we use often. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Took my grandchildren and wife on a Friday afternoon. It was not too busy , but the waiters just were standing in a huddle and had to really try to catch their attention. The order was slow to arrive , both our steaks , were really like boot leather, my baked potato was dry and overcooked. The children wanted the ice lollipop that was advertised, so they showed us one type which had melted and the other which was refrozen. We were then charged for the drinks , which were part of the pensioner meals . I did complain to the young man who was the manager and the overcharge was taken off our bill. I eat at Spur a lot , this was the most disappointing I think I have had. The place is clean , but I can’t find a redeeming feature after that ! Poor show indeed. Booked, but they had not reserved. If they had even rushed around trying to resolve that would have been something. Some disinterested young "Host" found more interesting in keeping his head down and looking at the cash register. Easily the worst Spur ever been to. Ordered an Eishbein. Well!!!!! No crackling at all. Looked wet and soggy. Half raw. I was actually feeling nauseated. Nothing like the pick on the Menu. Walked out. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

It might have been the public holiday but after 8 years visiting this spur on my holidays this is probably the worst service i jave ever seen at any spur. Food came in drips and draps. Side sauces was only brought to the table 10 min after the food was served. Some of us only got our food 10 to 15 min after the other people at the table. A very delayed review from my side but I have to make mention of my experience. Navaho Spur was my very first visit to a restaurant after the pandemic hit, hence i was extremely nervous...mostly scared but a very hungry tummy couldnt resist the smell of freshly fried onion rings, lol From the moment we walked in...I felt such a sense of comfort and warmth. The area was being sanitized so often, giving you a sense of security...who knew the smell of sanitizer in a restaurant could be so comforting. The staff were amazing...the manager was so young, yet so knowledgeable about his products. We enjoyed our meals and the experience was fantastic. BTW...Spur Navaho, you were the first to introduce me to the Beyond Products...I love it 😉 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I had the unreal breakfast which is always a good price. Initially sat at the back by the window but had a terrible loud crackle speaker blaring music so moved away where it was much better. Food good. Service good. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
