WOW! From start to finish, what a wonderful experience! My husband and I were warmly greeted by multiple employees upon entry. Our order was taken, making sure we had any questions answered and had everything we needed. We filled our drinks, selected our condiments and as soon as we had a seat at the cute table we picked, our name was being called and our order was ready! Our food was hot and fresh! The chopped brisket was tender and so flavorful, the baked beans were topped with pulled pork and tasted amazing but the baked tater salad was the star of my lunch! Hubs and I selected a brisket plate, his chopped and mine sliced. The meat was tender and delicious! It was not warm at all which I thought was unusual but I would rather have it that way than nuked. I chose green beans and come slaw for my sides which were great! Jeff chose a baked potato which counted as 2 sides plus a $1 more. It was huge!! Good BBQ - friendly staff. First rate from start to finish. Whether you get a brisket sandwich (chopped or sliced) or their campfire tacos, you'll enjoy it all. They have a varied menu and while I haven't tried everything, I can say from my experiences there - they know their meat and are professionals at smoking it. This is a response to the owner.. Sir, Ma'am.. We have been to your restaurant on many occasions. Some were really good but the last two times they fell short. I usually get the ribs and my wife gets the brisket and both were dry and hard around the ends. They both had really good flavor but in hindsight, I should've took pictures to show and just to let you know.. I really like your establishment and your personnel do a great job. I'm not out to bash you guys or "call you out". I don't do that. It was a "take-out" order but I only live 8 minutes away. We will return but maybe we'll eat there from now on. Passing through and dropped in for lunch today. Had the two meat platter with brisket and pulled pork. Baked potato salad, Nutty baked beans, jalapeño corn bread and blackberry cobbler. What a feast! If you’re anywhere in this area, this is not to be missed. And as a bonus we got to drink CRAZY water! I usually have the brisket sandwich which is pretty good. The ribs, smoked bologna and hot links are worthy. Nice condiment bar with three different kinds of pickled peppers. The store has pickled everything! They have a drive thru but it’s better to go inside if a car is already in line. Inside is nice and clean with kitschy country decor but I usually get to-go since I am just driving thru. I wish they had French Fry’s or fried okra but they don’t. Every time my family travels to Mineral Wells, we always stop here. They know how to cook and slice brisket. My wife loves their ham and sausage. Served in a paper plate, the food is delicious, and everything has the feel of a backyard BBQ. It is nice to have a choice of 3 sauces to choose from. I always get the traditional sweet, but they have a hot and something else like a vinaigrette as well. The desserts are fabulous! Quaint, country BBQ place that makes you feel at home! Absolutely amazing! Drove up from Dallas today just to try out their BBQ and it was definitely worth the trip. Their blackberry cobbler was out of this world.
