Quiet little place. Friendly service from all staff, including the chef. They make the kuththu in the front for you to watch. We got a drink each, a soup which tasted like packet stuff, but plenty of vegies. N2 fried rice was nice. Spent just over 2000 rupies

First meal at Ella and was served by friendly service staff. The best of the meal was the egg kutto rotti. Tasted like the fried carrot cake I had back in Singapore, but super tasty and more ingredients. :) it was so good we bought a cheese rotti. It, too, did not disappoint. The cheese they used was similar to the laughing cow cheese and they were really generous. We ordered chicken fried rice. It was not too bad but portion of chicken was close to negligible. Had a shocked when the fish curry dish came. There was no gravy and there was only a small piece of dried fried fish given. Surprising fact was the rice serve has a soil taste to it. Hard to describe but definitely not revolting. Highly recommend all to try the kutto rotti dishes. Bet you’ll come back for more! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great food, good price, nice people! Went with a group of five, it's now called city cafe Ella. I had the chicken Kottu roti, was delicious. Highly recommend, it's a much more authentic experience than a place like "Chill".

This Place is just amazing! The staff is super nice and the Food is incredibly good. I’ve been there 4 times in a row and every time it was so yummy. They have different curries everyday and even for lunch and dinner the curries variate. Big thumbs up. Love that place!!!

Good friendly service, go for the vegetable curry which was so good!!! Best Dhal curry in Ella, I’m telling you! For 350 rupees, it’s a steal! Had mine with ginger beer, was in heaven. Ordered the banana chocolate rotti and it was legit. Best meal in Ella!

It's the best restaurant that I've ever been in ELLA Sri Lanka.. The meal that I had was delicious.. The price of the meals is also reasonable for locals and foriegners. It's the best restaurant to have a meal.. Don't forget to have meal here if you visit Ella Sri Lanka.❤️

What a delight among the main road of tourist trap restaurants. Feeling ravenous from a long day of traveling or hiking? Pop in to the quaint offroad savory shack for a Kutto or Curry. You can thank me and your wallet later.

The service was really slow and with bad attitude yet they charged us 10% for it. When we complained he said it is for the wifi (?!) Food was okay but the long time we waited is really not worth it.
