So, I had a strange experience here, when I entered, I noticed a very strange smell in the room, both my parents and I noticed that, but we decided to ignore, then we asked for the food I asked for "beef mumadona" it was very good nothing to say about that, but the problem was what my mother asked, it was 2 "lombinhos de porco" and 1 of them was perfect very good, but the second... It had a very bad smell, and the taste was also very bad, like rotten fish, and to make things worse the price on the menu was 9€ and we paid 10€. Nice little restaurant in the historic center. Food was good for the price you pay. Service was good and the waiter showed knowledge on the food. The atmosphere could use some redoing, as it could have had some music and decorations that needed some improvement. All in all I gave it a 4 star. We had a dinner yesterday in this restaurant during our holiday visit to Guimarães (August, 2022). We decided to stop here since we saw some tables with people. Pros: 1. The location is strategic because it is in pedestrian way. You can follow Google Maps to arrive here correctly. 2. The staff is nice and very accommodate to what we need. 3. They only have indoor seating with many tables available with narrow distance. They have other tables available near the restroom. 4. Free wifi accessible inside the restaurant. 5. The food is normal (€8 for half dose of food) 6. Entrance accessible for wheelchair. 7. Parking accessible for wheelchair nearby. 8. They serve Portuguese traditional food. We ordered 3 half dose of Bacalhau a broa, lombinhos com cogumelos, filetes pescada com pure batata. The portion was generous. It is enough for 3 of us. 9. They accept payment in cash or Multibanco. 10. The piri-piri is good. Cons: 1. The Bacalhau com broa smells not good, but the beans and bacons are tasty. My lombinhos meat is a bit hard. 2. This restaurant is just down the walk from the castle, we found the restaurant by accident, and was amazed by the food. Must order Bacalhao Mumadona, it's a stew pot of cod fish with creamy mash potatoes and crispy onion stripes. We also ordered pork steak and mixed omelet, these 2 dishes came with lots of homemade fries. We had a great time here, fully and happily fed.

Speaking short - would not recommend to eat there for anybody. The soup of the day was awful. And it was almost cold. I could not eat my meat as it was prepared bad. Vegetables - not fresh too. The service was terrible. Tree persons coming after us has almost finished when we have got our meal. Cold meal already… We were attracted by many visitors but will never come there again. The best part of this was beer from the bottle. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
