Fantistic find. Great lunch stop while exploring. Literally 300mtrs from the castle. No menu but the waiter explains whats available. Mix of floor/table seating. In cooler months i imagine the seating outside would be great. Id love to go along for an evening meal. We opted for inside seating. We went for the slow cooked baked beef, an arabian salad and 2 styles of rice which was "Number One!" & it was! Food was superb. The usual is eat with you hands but we were provided with cutlery. We sat in a very private booth to which the door was closed for privacy. It was a fantastic meal with superb food. So tasty. The beef was melt in the mouth. Total incl drinks 4 OMR for 2. I would definately return and recommend. Amazing experience. Just remember. This is a local resturant with local customs and culture. Do not expect 7 star. Cheap finds in Taqah. Highly recommended place to dine and experience authentic omani cuisine and vibe. We enjoyed eating in their indoor family rooms. So cozy and perfect for dining. AC is cold wall fan is also available. Staff knows how to speak english and very accomodating. Handwash station is available. Chicken grill and cow meat with Qabooli rice is perfect. What? A restaurant, different from others. Foods are affordable and of good taste! When? All time you want, better at night. Enchanting? Different sitting arrangements and plans with privacy and without privacy, for families and bachelors! Rating? 9 out of 10. Going again? Yes.

25 minute drive from Salalah Town, The drive to taqah is worth the experience. The barren desert, cloudy mountains and the beach strips. Food is great and overall ambience is a rethoric old Omani traditional house. A rare breed in Salalah.

Nov 22 - Typical local restaurant serving a variety of food. Staff were friendly and the place appeared clean. Two dining areas: one for male and the other for families and each with its own distinct appearance. I would certainly go again. Dec 23 - Visited this restaurant once more. We had grilled chicken, grilled fish, salad, rice, a big salad, bread and water. More than we could eat and all for 4 OR. Excellent value for money.
