Amazing sushi and would definitely recommend for a quick bite. One slight problem that I occurred though during my restaurant is that food takes awhile but the wait is definitely worth it. What an experience and a half was it eating here ! Truly was not expecting anything but the sizzling steak and rice was just to die for ! The way they cook it on a cast iron plate in front of you was just amazing to see ! The food was excellent and I will definitely go back, so I highly recommend anyone in town to stop for lunch or dinner! You can also buy authentic Chinese food ingredients and food from them which is great as it’s so hard to find sometimes! Really just a great experience lovely atmosphere, staff so friendly and helpful. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Mr Gavin your restaurant is great and your food is excellent, very fresh, served piping hot and the service was fast and efficient. Your welcome and comfort of patrons is first class and my husband and I enjoyed the noodles with cashews and prawns which was supherb! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of tgd few places that are open on a Monday evening in St Francis Bay. No-one tells you that this coastal town all but shuts down on Monday evenings. That said, Mr Gavin's Sushi made us feel welcome and the food was great. We had a lovely meal - thank you!!!! The service was terrible, and I mean terrible. We asked for certain sushi pieces to be prawn instead of salmon. Like the nigiri and the california rolls when we ordered a combo no.4 . The waiter basically told us no, and when the platter arrived all the wrong pieces were prawn. I also ordered the Cashew nut noodles with chicken, I now have food poisoning. And because we were a table over 8 they’d forced us to tip over 400 rand. Even though the service could’ve been preformed better by 5 year olds. it was a horrible experience. Don’t ever order Miso soup! It’s so unauthentic! the sushi combo is weird and the rosé tastes like they add water😂 I think it’s weird (from an asian Taiwanese perspective FYI if you ever need some herbs and greens, the car guards knows someone he can get you, My friend and I order 50R and Gave him a 50R when he came back in 20 mins. Lovely guy

Oddly enough, this restaurant was the only one to play Christmas music over Christmas. It was almost weird, but also good fun. The food is pretty tasty, although everything was thicker than I am used to - the miso soup, dipping sauce for the gyoza, and even the sticky rice for the sushi, which had a mochi-like texture. I believe they may add starch for more texture. The sizzling beef in black bean sauce was a treat. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

The new fish and chips takeaway shop by Mr Gavin is a winner. Calamari was perfect. Plenty of tartar sauce with order and chips are a generous size.
