Very nice place in Arugam Bay, the owner was a fisherman himself for many years before he fulfilled his dream with this restaurant. The staff is super friendly and helpful, we felt a bit overwhelmed with the whole fish but they helped us. Thank you so much for this amazing dinner! If you like fresh fish, you should definitely go here. Highly recommended, 10/10.

The food that they made was so delicious we kept ordering for more and more until our stomachs got full. We recommend you to come and see this place, especially SEA FOOD LOVERS! We kept no food on the plate. Come & Enjoy the beauty and culture including the food of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰.

Best seasoned seafood I’ve ever had! Maybe because of Sri Lanka’s amazing spices. We shared the mixed seafood platter (2P) with rice & were pretty full afterwards. Definitely recommend!

I had the best soft shell crab at Mr Fisherman, cooked in such a tasty way. The crab had been fished that very morning and was so fresh! I strongly recommend this restaurant in Arugam Bay!

Low score for room cause we didn't use rooms so we can't review. Seafood was fresh, not alot of flavour on it if any but it was fresh. Not alot of meat on the crabs and shrimp but yum once you found it. Big plate for good value for what we can get in NZ. Took a little while to get the meal but they had cold beer while waiting. They had to go out to get more cash change for when we paid the bill.

The best and most fresh seafood restaurant we went to in our 2 weeks travelling around Sri Lanka. We were able to pick out the tuna and prawns we wanted from the iced tray out the front and had them grilled with a side of noodles and rice. Good value meal.

Amazing seafood, crab, calamari & prawns were fantastic, greatly spiced. Service was very nice and fast. Also food was served really fast, which was quite a surprise here in Sri Lanka

We went there because of the positive reviews, but we were extremely disappointed. We had prawns, calamari and an other fish called “red snapper” if i remember well. Nothing was fresh expect the prawns. Everything tasted like frozen fish. We asked that they don’t overcook the seafood, we received an uncooked fish that we had to return because impossible to eat. On top of it, it’s overpriced for bad quality and dishonest owner who swears everything is fresh. I don’t recommend.

Can’t get better authentic seaside Sri Lankan cuisine. Doesn’t look much from the exterior but it’s a must try. Ordered the red snapper and crab both cooked in a sweet caramelized onion sauce. Both caught that morning. (Their family catch it) Served with a rice and noodle side. 5*. Service was quick and friendly.

Mad fresh seafood Had dinner here last night and it was delicious! We shared the platter, a mix of fish, calamari, prawns and crab and it was the freshest seafood ever. Best calamari we’ve ever had. Food comes with rice, noodles, potatoes and vegetables. Big portions too, so great value for money. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Mr Fisherman himself shared his secret for gastric success; you’ll have to visit to find out for yourself. Would highly recommend!
