We had dinner and breakfast here while staying at Marsden lake resort. The staff were all lovely and the food was great. We had the carnivore platter for dinner and it was delicious. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

As a local I often used to visit here. This is a first for a couple of years and it was a bit of a let down. We had to go up to the bar to order drinks and meals. Not once came to the table throughout our meals to check in or ask if we wanted drinks. Even though 3 bar staff were seen standing behind the bar talking amongst themselves. Took a long time for meals to arrive and at different times. After adults all got meals I had to ask for our 4 year olds meal. We booked at 6.30pm and his meal didn’t come out until after 8pm. This is the restaurant affiliated with Heritage Collection Lake Resort. It's very convenient if you're staying in the hotel and the atmosphere is nice. Of the 3 dishes I ordered, 1 was delicious, 2 were just average. Our server was friendly, but the kitchen forgot about our order (or so the server said), despite there being only 4 other people in the restaurant, so our bread appetizer took nearly an hour to arrive at the table. No offer to make up for the mistake though.

Carnivore’s Platter is grossly over-priced for what you get: nearly $100 for two people should buy a LOT more food than that. And it took an age to come out. Atmosphere is that of a try-hard pub, but pricing is that of a three star restaurant- which Moorings isn’t. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $40–50 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

This place is amazing. The vibe of the restaurant is relaxing and rustic. Classy Farm to table style decor. Award winning restaurant in luxury and let me say this place has AMAZING FOOD. get the chicken burger if your here during lunch so worth it. Beautiful views from the patio of the surrounding hills and lake. Definitely check in out of your passing by.

We cycled out to this restaurant from Cromwell. We were surprised the restaurant was set so far back from the water and had no water views at all. We drenched our thirst with Cider and had the fettucine and mussels for lunch, topped off with flat white and tea. Meals were promptly served and was delicious. The mussels were rather small size though.

One of the finer restaurants in Cromwell. The food is fantastic and full of flavor. Atmosphere could use a little work — it isn’t quite as upscale as you’d expect for the menu (paper napkins; a noisy, casual bar in amongst the dining room; small and large size options for drinks, like you’d see at a chain restaurant). The décor is a bit of a hodgepodge, no real theme here. Service is friendly but again, doesn’t really reach the level of “upscale” to match the price point of meals on offer. Overall, a positive experience. Try the Carnivore Platter — it’s a staple. Limited but still decent wine list.

Shocking service ..extremely slow. Two of our group has the chia breakfast with a plethora of fruit, turned out to be a very small portion of kiwifruit and strawberries. Bit of a wait on food but quality was excellent. Servings are large but they supply a take home box if you ask. Recommend the pancakes
