Our server, Danielle, was terrific! That said, everything about the food was disappointing. Let’s start with the seafood platter. $29 for 7 small fried shrimp, 3 1/2 fried catfish strips, 6 hush puppies and fries. But no cocktail sauce (found out after the food was delivered to the table). The shrimp were overcooked but the catfish was ok (but no cocktail sauce). The baked potato soup was very buttery ($11) and the side salad was just some lettuce with 3 sliced cucumbers (for $8). On top of that, iced tea is $5!!! What?!!! This is a very casual atmosphere similar to eating in a hotel lobby. I couldn’t believe the high prices and low value delivered. Again, Danielle was great, but we won’t be coming back. The food cost was high and food quality was low. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

I have eaten here many times and have had no complaints! However today was awful ! I went in for take out ! Restaurant empty except for one table. My bbq rib platter was terrible the ribs were all fat .. the French fries and Cole slaw were missing ! Cheese and broccoli soup was extremely salty! Today was a big waste of money ! Waited at the entry for about 10 minutes. 4 staff looked at us and then looked away during that time. No recognition whatsoever. Looking around while waiting, I noticed one table out of about 8 inside were actually eating. We left and after talking to other guests, thank goodness we did. Eat here at your own perils. The staff is very slow with not only bringing the food out but also returning with the card after paying the check. The food is mid range at best and was heavy on the salt. Tried this restaurant twice. Do not recommend. Service Dine in Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

The staff was very nice talkative with us. We had the quesadilla, the nachos and the burger and fries. Very good portion sizes and the food was absolutely fantastic. Especially the quesadillas. I had a steak at the Mix and Mingle while search for someplace new to eat. I was blown away by the courtesy of the host, making sure I had everything I need while I wait for my waitress. The icing on the cake was literally the icing on the cake. I had the best beignets I have ever had there. They were similar to the traditional with powdered sugar but a special kick was added with caramel sauce and walnuts. I thought the beignets in New Orleans’ French Quarter were the best until now. We were nervous after seeing others' reviews, but Danielle gave us an exceptional experience. We had great (strong) drinks, pleasant appetizers and sandwiches for lunch as well as extra food to go.
