We were hosted here to a delicious dinner of Peking duck. There were two ducks, with succulent meat, and they were served in several ways - with crispy skin eaten with pancakes, in a soup, and in a fried rice dish that was really very good. Each duck was around 158 ringgit, which was a reasonable price. Service was also friendly and efficient. It seemed a little out of the way and the other few tables of diners seemed to be hotel guests. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Very pleasant eating experience here. Staffs are funny and friendly. Most importantly, Food is cheap and super tasty. We ordered satay lamb, Sweet Sour chicken, Vege, and a big giant bowl of corn soup. It is a lunch package for 2-3 at only rm60++ This is probably the biggest surprise we had in Sabah Hotel.

Fresh delicious and tasty Chinese food (with a few Malaysian dishes). We were warmly welcomed on arrival and Stephanie, as our waitress, was attentive and helpful. Two of us shared three great dishes. For starters we had salt and pepper squid which was succulent, tasty and perfectly cooked. We then shared two small dishes which was just the perfect amount of food. The first was the Penang Char Keow Teow with chicken and which we asked for with chopped chilli - yum! And the second was butter baby kailan which was fresh and delicious. Service was warm and friendly. And alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages also available. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 40–60
We came here for the Dim Sum Set and i must tell that it was the best thing from our visit to sandakan! Located in the Sabah Hotel, Ming Palace Restaurant is a luxury chinese restaurant with price so cheap and affordable. The ambiance is great and our waiter, Risman deserves a shoutout. He was so attentive to all our questions and orders and made sure to check in on us. For food we had : Dim Sum Promo (10 types of dimsum for RM68) A-XO fried rice (RM20) D-kon lou mee chicken RM 26) Crispy Yee Mee (RM 23) The dim sum was definitely the star of the show! All the dimsum we took were tasty and delicious.. that we even ordered extras 😭 so good. They were hot and were more than enough for us pax of 4. Other than that the fried rice, yee mee and kon lou me is super delicious too. But bare in mind the portion are wayy big although it states for 1-2 person. It was really full filling! We also hat a pot of chinese tea which can be refilled as many times you want 😁 and it comes under the dim sum promo. Overall this place is just amazing for really good Chinese food. Their service is fast and systematic and the waiters are so friendly and i will definitely recommend making use of their dim sum promo as it is so WORTH IT! 10/10. Lovely relaxing spot for dinner. Good service without being overbearing. Meals were terrific - large servings fresh and very tasty with perfect amount of spice for our western (Australian) tastes. Biggest surprise was the bill, only 51 MR for satay beef and butter chicken with rice and tea. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 40–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you wish to have a great chinese luxury dinner at an inexpensive price, then this 5-star restaurant should fit your budget. Their small portion for 2 pax is enough for 3 pax and it is less crowded with plenty of parking. Try you check their website to get their various promotion regularly.
I am writing this after I left the restaurant only a while ago. We came to celebrate Mother’s Day but the restaurant was seriously understaffed. We sat at our table waiting like idiots for our food with a pot of tea(which we hastened at least twice before being served). After an hour of waiting, we asked the waiter to check for the ETA but was rudely treated. They could have just warned us about the waiting time but no. TRULY DISAPPOINTED
Halal chinese restaurant with authentic taste. Has a variety of food to choose from and can get discount if you download its membership programme. Airconditioned area; a round table setup with private room available. In restaurant washroom. Food try the pecking duck; the crispy skin as appetizer with a whole set which include soup and fried duck. Goes well with chinese tea. Desert go for chinese pancake. A poshy kind of restaurant; be dress up so that you dont fell uncomfortable. Worth a try...a thumbs up from me!
Awkward staff barely speaking english, barely average food for a higher price that it should be. Waiters first bring the main meal, then bring rice 10 minutes later (or vice-versa). Won't come here again and me and my friends don't recommend it.
