Just rolled into town to stay at a local hotel. I asked the attendant who had the best food in town and she did not hesitate and said Miners Saloon. The food was great. Had the nachos and Buffalo burger. They were fantastic. Highly recommended. Went back a couple of nights later and had the pizza and it was fantastic.

The food tasted just okay, they were out of pizza when we got there so we got tacos and enchiladas instead. The food was alright but I’d say the lake house restaurant inside the park had better tacos!
They have a cool looking vibe with interesting things on wall as decor so props for that.

Want to be sure and give these folks their props. Came in on a Friday night on the 30th of December before leaving Cooke City after visiting a friend of mine for a few days. I’ve traveled all over this beautiful country, from California and the northern mountains there to Florida and all the beauty they have to offer. This place has a special spot on my list as it’s a great little hole in the wall in a amazing little town. Even being in the winter time it was quite busy being it was around 5:30pm and dinner time. I ordered the beef burger and while I didn’t get a picture of it “because I was too busy eating it as it was delicious” it really was fantastic. The pizzas that they have are also to die for. Wife and I decided to go for a Meats pizza combination with Canadian bacon and black olives. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had and I wouldn’t expect that from a little spot like this but it just goes to show the quality. Definitely will be coming back again to this spot, and it’s someplace you should save on your Want to go list as it’s a great spot to eat and get a drink.
If you plan on coming here during the summer I’d suggest getting here earlier in the day as it can be quite busy.

Great pizza and burgers and a nice selection of microbrews. Cash only business. ATM inside. Nice place for groups, they've got a pool table, Foosball table, darts and gambling games. No cell service for miles around, it's great!
We were in Cooke city for ski touring, and once back we just needed a refuel of food and drinks… Cooke doesn’t have many options being a tiny town, but boy this place was just what we needed. All local beers, very nice, attentive and fast staff both times we went and an insanely satisfying bison burger! It perfectly hit the spot, perfectly cooked, nice char outside aaaah!! The pizza was also pretty good! Also the atmosphere was awesome the place has a beautiful wooden bar, mementos all over the ceiling, and cool history of Cooke city at the entrance. Such cool place overall. They do accept credit cards as of Jan 2021.
Again get the burger! Ahah

I ordered a Cesar salad that ended up being the size of my head. The dressing was too tart for my liking, but the chicken was good. The other member of our party ordered small cheeseburgers and they were delicious. Drinks were fabulous. Neighboring table ordered a pizza that had us wishing we had ordered one. They look amazing.

I'm not from Montana. I'm not even from the US. But as a foreigner, this is exactly how I imagined a true country side saloon.
Had the Buffalo Burger and some Amber Ales and it was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend tried one of their pizzas (which were actually recommended to us by a local friend of ours) and she loved it!
