Modern summer-esque dining experience. We ordered the sweetcorn arancini, spicy salmon tartare (pictured), fried chicken, curious cropper tomato salad (pic), lamb ribs (pic), and roasted eggplant (pic). The food had a good balance of flavours and textures. Lamb ribs were a surprise favourite, nicely spiced and paired with mint yoghurt. Fried chicken was a staple dish (gluten free too!), we'd also recommend. Tomato salad was decent and fresh but probably wouldn't order again. The spicy salmon and sweetcorn arancini were very tasty. These snacks are ordered individually, would love to try those again but prices were a little steep for portions. Good drink selection as well. Thanks to Dana and Jay (?) who provided excellent service and recommendations.
Overall worth a visit, especially on a sunny day with the outdoor seating options.

Culinary Delight at Milford Motel in Auckland
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Milford Motel in Auckland, and I must say it was a gastronomic adventure worth remembering. Despite the somewhat misleading name, this eatery is anything but a motel, offering a vibrant culinary experience in the heart of Milford.
The atmosphere at Milford Motel is both inviting and lively. The restaurant boasts a spacious outdoor area with communal seating, perfect for a relaxed dining experience.
Milford Motel recently underwent a menu adjustment, and the results are tasty. Catering to a variety of dietary preferences, my vegetarian and pescatarian friends were happy with the offerings. The menu is a fusion of flavours, featuring both innovative and classic dishes.
Spicy Salmon Tartare with Japanese Mayo: A perfect blend of freshness and spice that set the tone for the meal.
Wagyu Beef Sliders: These sliders were a standout, with perfectly cooked wagyu beef complemented by a tantalizing combination of burger sauce, pickles, and cheese.
Basque Cheesecake: A delightful finale to the meal, the cheesecake was a heavenly mix of creamy indulgence.
The service at Milford Motel was exemplary. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went the extra mile to ensure a seamless dining experience. Their friendliness added a personal touch to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Considering the quality of the food, the reasonable pricing at Milford Motel was a pleasant surprise. The portions were generous, and the diverse menu allowed for a range of options to fit various budgets.
Milford Motel exceeded my expectations with its delightful blend of atmosphere, exceptional service, and, most importantly, outstanding cuisine. I left Milford Motel with a satisfied palate and the certainty that I'll be returning to savour more of their culinary delights.

Why Milford Motel and not Milford Bar and Cafe...who knows. But who cares when you have great coffee and food with a small playground and lots of shade. Yes you read that right...great coffee! It's not on their menu but they make an awesome chat white!

Whilst the motel has been open for ages, this was my first visit and loved it. Great food - chips are perfect and drinks too. Not too expensive but certainly not “cheap”
Lovely evening- thank u
Visited on a lovely night and had to sit on the high chairs outside as the plastic screens were all down as some customer didn't like them up, maybe they should sit right inside! Warm night, no wind, disappointing as wanted a nice table with fresh air.
There is a kids area there which is a good size but parents seem to think its ok for their little darlings to run around the garden and through the restaurant, got bumped by them several times. The waitress had a word when I mentioned it and they stopped. This put us off ever going back as we may as well go to MacDonalds if we want screaming kids running around. Maybe thats the market they are aiming for?
Other reason won't return was the food was very average. The fried chicken was pretty much burnt and very dry, parts inedible. The fries tasted nice and were crisp but about 2/3 of them were the size of a peanut so hard to eat and could not be dipped in the sauce.
The restaurant itself is lovely and once the kids left it was nice to sit and finish our drinks.
One good part was the service, our waitress, name was Jay I think was great.

Wow Wow Wow, Milford Motel is off the charts good. Service was fantastic, we tried 4 different types of pizza, all incredible...the mince pork & fennel was my favorite & the pizza base was so different & light. Washed down with a couple of cold Tiger Beers.......10 out of 10 Milford Motel. Coming back this week to try Scotch Fillet Steak which looked amazing on the table next door to me. Thanks Rich

Delicious food, great service and epic spot to eat and drink. Their courtyard is massive so plenty of space and a play area for kids. Highly recommend the Beef Cheeks, Fried Chicken and Beef and Cheese Croquettes.
