Just walked in to order the cowboy burritos &1/2 dozen huge tamales. The cowboy was huge also and I was hungry. Quick friendly service, asked for a paper menu to view at home but we're out. This was a to go order will have to experience the sit down next time. Yes I'm definitely going back for more. Are you looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Windsor? Well you should keep looking because the food here is terrible! The queso had lumps of cheese, the barbacoa enchiladas tasted like the meat was old, and the service was seriously lacking. My husband had the carnita enchiladas, and he said it was okay. This was our first and last visit. We, being the foodies we are, will definitely keep looking. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We paid for combinations - received single items only. The food was luke-warm. The sopapillas were rubbery & tasted as though they had been fried in old grease. They offered to give us the rest of our order if I came in to get it. Gee, if I had wanted to pick up my food, I wouldn't have used Uber Eats! This is the 3rd time we've ordered from this place. 3 times - 3 screwed up orders! My Mom stated that Taco Bell would have been far better! Takes forever to get your order. The last two times I’ve ordered here I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes, and both times it took over 20 minutes. Convenience and speed should be the selling point for this place, otherwise there’s no reason to come here instead of the many other Mexican restaurants in Windsor. They also get annoyed when you ask for the little red and green salsas and are very stingy with them (which is very weird to me). The food and service were excellent! Everything on the menu looks so good! Can't wait to go back and try something new. The only negative I heard from the family was that the queso was bland. Update: Visiting from Florida and couldn't wait to eat their Pozole again. Wasn't disappointed except for their sopapillas. They were over fried and hard. But I hope it was a one-off. Other than that, it is a great place for breakfast and daily specials. First time eating at Mi Tierra. Wonderful service and good food. It's was my dad's 90th birthday and we really enjoyed our meal. They gave him free soppapillas and a mini oreo cake for his birthday. We will be back for sure! Thank you for being so kind and generous on his 90th birthday! So much to love about Windsor’s Mi Tierra!! From great location in King Sooper’s shopping center to the friendly staff to the very good and authentic food, this should be a planned visit for dine in, take out, or ordered through a delivery service. It’s a cozy place with about 7 booths and very clean inside. My daughter got the Cowboy Burrito, which was enough for 2 meals! It is stuffed full of seasoned steak, potatoes, avocado slices and onions. It was covered in pico. This was very flavorful and just fantastic, but the potatoes inside a burrito are different. I ordered the shredded beef chimichanga. I am used to chimis stuffed with rice, beans, onions, and meat. This one was very simple in nothing more than the beef wrapped in the tortilla then fried, but risky as the beef had to be flavorful enough to stand on its own. This was spectacular choice as the meat was amazing! I ordered the “plate,” so it came with rice and beans. Both had the option of being smothered in mild, hot, or half and half verde. We both went with the mix and it was excellent! Depth of heat, but not too overpowering. They made everything to order, which was awesome too see.
