In town for the kid's twirling competition and needed a dinner spot for the kids and parents to eat afterwards. This place had pretty good reviews, looked very clean from the pics, and had Mole Enchiladas (which I love!), so we gave it a shot. So in regards to the categories above: Food: The food was delicious! I got Mole Enchiladas, which not a lot of places seem to do any more. The mole had a great flavor and consistency, which made for good chicken enchiladas. Rice and beans on the side were both done well, and the beans weren't soupy like some places seem to do. My wife got beef/chicken fajitas. Portion size was good, meat was nice and tender, and it appeared to be good quality meat (not fatty or anything like that). Also, drinks were good. I asked the waitress what margarita she recommended and went with that. It wasn't huge like I expected based on the menu description, but they made up for it by making it plenty strong. I definitely felt I got my money's worth (not sure I felt much else by the time I hit the bottom 🤣)! A couple of the kids got virgin daiquiris, and one parent got a full octane one, all three were quite happy! Service: The service was great from start to finish, they were friendly and very attentive. Drinks were always topped off, chip basket refilled, drinks brought out quickly, no complaints. Atmosphere: The restaurant was very very clean, both in the dining area and the waiting area. I also really appreciated that it wasn't loud! They had some music going, and football or something on the TVs, but neither was really loud. It was nice being able to actually hear what my friends were saying with ease, rather than trying to hear and talk over the noise. Volume levels were just right. A nice couple in the waiting area said they'd been coming into town to eat here for years, and I can see why. I have zero complaints about this place. The food just gets better n better. Great food with a great location. Servers are so attentive and polite. Prices are great. The servings were bigger tonight. The chicken enchiladas were excellent and meaty. Had 2 over easy eggs on them, just delicious! Taco salad was so huge. Nachos were good as well. Chalupas are so refreshing! You must try them. My vegetable enchiladas were quite good ! I didn't have high expectations given the fact that I'm ordering vegetables at a Mexican restaurant but the they delivered well, the queso dip to my preference was a little salty but other than that everything else was good , our waitress had alot of charisma and was very attentive to what we needed. My boyfriend and I decided on having our Valentines day dinner here and it DID NOT disappoint!! Service was superior!! Food was delicious!! Margaritas were outstanding!! This was my boyfriend's first time and he said "Rancho Grande used to be my go-to place for food and Margaritas. But I have found my new favorite spot!!". By the way, I don't find mole enchiladas at too many places. When I saw it on Martha's menu, I didn't have to look at anything else. It was the best mole I've ever eaten!!! Beware. Impolite older woman waitress on our first ever visit to this restaurant(Leticia). I will admit the younger waitresses appeared to be polite to other customers. It looks nice from the outside, but the food is basic and average compared to many other Mexican food restaurants I have tried. Even my daughter who loves Queso Dip commented how bad it tasted. Its consistency was more like water than cheese. Also, i am adding that i observed two waitresses rolling silverware with no gloves on. Also, I observed members of staff eating with customers.(photo included) Not professional look from a restaurant operator standpoint. Good luck retaining customers. We dropped in for lunch, our first time Service: was attentive and friendly We split the lunch portion of the “Pollo Loco” It came with rice , refried beans, guacamole and pico. We substituted Charro beans for the refried. Chips and Salsa: salsa was good, warm lots of flavor, tasted like fire roasted tomatoes Pollo Loco: Grilled chicken breast stuffed with spinach, cheese and shrimp. Was very good. Rice: was good, not great Charro Beans: lacked salt, had onions tomatoes and cilantro in them. We’re ok Guacamole and Pico: didn’t taste fresh, tasted like food service. So I went to this place for the first time and the food and service were great although the beans were a bit runny. Now I would be apt to return again but I just couldn't stand walking in through the patio CHOKING on the cig smoke!! Large birthday party. Waited hour and a half for food. Got up and left. This is the second time this has happened to our group there. It will be the last time for me. There were several in the group that did the same thing. The servers were good about keeping the drinks full. You can only eat so many chips and dip.
