Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Went twice for lunch and dinner during our stay in Portugal. My husband and in-laws loved the swordfish, it's their favourite fish and they thought the swordfish was lovely in this restaurant. I had the exotic sea platter the first time to try it, and it was lovely. The prawns and salmon in particular, which are my favourites anyway. Lovely boiled potatoes too. The second time I had lamb which was lovely and tender. Then the desserts. My god, the desserts. Absolutely beautiful. Lovely helpful staff, one of them took a photo of the dessert fridge so we didn't all have to go up to look. The chocolate cake, the other choc cake with ice cream, the pistachio cheesecake and... I can't remember what my mum in law had actually but we were all very happy. The cocktails were also very good, bit heavy on the alcohol but we didn't mind.
Helpful, attentive staff. Asked where we would like to sit, and we didn't have to wait long. The location is great, right by the sea. And the restaurant is decorated beautifully too.
Couldn't fault anything about our experience. If you're planning on dining on the boardwalk, go to Marsalgado.

Nice place, the owner very helpful and very nice. Seating us with dog, which officially not allowed. Nice wine list, the main courses were generous an dgokd quality. The bacalhau was bit cold but could be of the wind... Butttt starters awfull. We had amêijoas for 20 euros. They were tiny.. See pic... Mor. É like conquilhas.. And tough. But biggest joke was the tiras choco espanhol. Restaurant is maybe 10 km. Spain.. But this had nothing to do.. We're tough very thin pieces in very strange crust... Awfull. So go for the mains and skip starters. A sham because rest is good.

Had amazing lunch here. It's right next to the beach with nice view. And the foods were amazing, all 3 of them.
Especially the clams and the octopus were superb.
The staffs were very friendly as well. Will definitely come back.

I heard a lot of good things about this place but it was just plain good. The Polvo à Lagaeiro was just OK, with not much octopus. Their house cocktail, the Marsalgado, was delicious, though!

The food was excellent... I mean, I loved everything I had. I wish I could eat more. Even though there was a communication barrier, the servers were friendly and polite. They understood what we wanted and served us with kindness. They are layer back. The food arrived fast, and the taste was yummy. They are indeed best for their octopus and clams. Try their dessert 🍨 too.

Wonderfull restaurant by the sea. Started with delicious and simple garlic bread. Then we chose Bacalhau às lascas and Polvo à Lagareiro and were not disappointed. As drinks, we relied on Sex on The Beach and Caiprinha to start and, together with the main courses, asked for a white wine sangria. All excellent and promptly served.
Dessert? I can recommend the homemade chocolate mouse and Bolo de Bolacha.
Price ? Average for the excellent quality you get. It's definitely a must visit when you are in Monte Gordo.

Lovely service and very tasty food - what is not to love? When we booked the table the waiter asked us if it was for a romantic dinner, and when we said yes, they decorated our table with flowers and hearts which was very nice. The exotic sea platter was delicious and so was our garlic prawn starter, with the best sauce asking to be mopped up with fresh bread. Wines from Alentejo complimented the dishes perfectly and they even had a gluten free dessert which was a tart made with almonds figs and carob. Everything was super delicious and the staff was very friendly - we had such a lovely time and I am sure everyone else will.

Grilled Swordfish
Absolutely Amazing!! Our food arrived and each bite was packed with flavour. Our night took a turn for the worst as our 10 month old threw up and we had to leave abruptly. We had our food packaged and I can honestly say the staff were brilliant. We were so embarrassed but they somehow made us feel even more comfortable. I'm not sure who the lady was who helped a great deal but she was either the manager or owner, she even gave us a blanket to go back to the hotel with so baby won't be cold. We ate the rest of our food in our hotel room and we can say hands down the best on the strip. Portion size was very generous and we just managed to finish. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a chilled yet classy restaurant by the beach.

The starters and drinks were good 2of our main courses weren’t that good.
The 600g black Angus (55€)2-300 g fat but the sides are nice.
The fried swordfish wasn’t eatable and the fried tuna was almost not eatable.
The burger was very nice!
Overall a nice place but maybe haven’t had the best of the menu.

Mar Salgado. Never desappoints! Great quality seafood, great environment, great spot with the sea and beach view!
Staff if nice and friendly (except maybe one blond girl who would probably benifit of some education towards the customers, instead of worrying about her look like she is in a fashion show...)
