I recently had the pleasure of dining at Maria's Tamales, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, and it only got better from there. The star of the show, of course, was the tamales, which were nothing short of exceptional. The menu at Maria's Tamales offers a wide variety of options, but the pozole and menudo really stood out to me. The pozole was rich and flavorful, with tender pork and a perfectly seasoned broth that left me wanting more. The menudo was equally impressive, with its robust flavors and comforting warmth. Both dishes were clearly made with care and expertise, and they transported me to the heart of Mexico with every bite. What truly sets Maria's Tamales apart, however, is the authenticity of the food. You can tell that the tamales are made with traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients, resulting in a truly genuine and delicious dining experience. Maria's has great food. I have yet to try something from here that I have not liked. My new favorite is the Quesabirria tacos with consome. I highly recommend this family owned and operated business. We ordered 2 tacos, one ground beef and one barbacoa, 2 quesadillas with chicken, 2 pork tamales and a side of rice and beans. The ground beef in the taco was terrible. It was so dark and overdone and tasted like it was reheated several times. And it had a ton of grisle and fatty pieces. The tamales were very bland as well as the quesadillas and rice. The rice was extremely dry and hard like it was reheated. The only things that were decent was the barbacoa taco and the beans. Also, if paying by card, they charge a 3.99% fee.
