Truly a gem of a place. The ambience, service, food are all excellent. The chef is very skilled. Tried tandoori paneer, malai broccoli, fried chicken and goat biryani and they were all delicious. Christmas lunch away from home couldn’t have been better. This is the Indian gem hidden away in Queenstown . Amazing food and so tasty!! We ordered the Nalli nihari and goat biryani with the masala popaadam and oooh wow . What a fantastic find! Loved the decor and the gorgeous paintings and antiques displayed. Very tastefully done. Was surprised to meet the owner who is also a chef to be serving us. He was a lovely, humble person and his story is inspiring. We loved all the food especially dal makhani, garlic naan, laccha paratha, paneer tikka masala and to top it off the chai was so yum. Would definitely visit again when in the area. Loved chatting with the owner. Definitely a must visit place for some delicious authentic Indian food! While visiting Arrowtown I highly recommend to stop by Mantra for fine Indian Cuisine. Enjoyed the lunch special menu and tried the chicken naan roll with mango Lassi. We absolutely loved everything we had. Perfectly prepared and spiced. Incredible tandoori oven. Loved their roti and paratha. We came here twice and simply loved the food. We enjoyed samosas, chai, aloo gobi, dal tadka, and naan. Our server Gur Prasad was very humble, he did take care of our food taste and special requests.
