We came in here just for a couple of drinks. The staff are extremely friendly, polite, and attentive. They spoke perfect English and had no worries about doing so, which was appreciated as my French isn't the best! They have a wide array of beers, all for fair prices given you're right next to a famous landmark. It's a really nice building too, nice and spacious. We had a lovely time here, and if it hadn't been for us eating fairly recently, we'd have likely stayed for food too. Highly recommend coming here. As a local, I love to go there either to work, chill or party a bit with friends. Sounds system and music selection is niiice. Beer selection too :) Also the restaurant is high quality. They even let you bring your French fries or waffles inside. Had a very nice experience here. Best carbonnade I ever had here in Brussels. The desserts didn't disappoint at all. Their tiramisu and compote were delicious. The atmophere was "gezellig": music played added to the nice ambiance, the place itself is still looking like the medieval tavern, clean and pleasant. The service was also really good. Worth coming back. Second time here: Ordered the Duck and Fish Vol-au-vent, both were very good. The Duck was seasoned really well, soft and juicy. My first time to have a vol-au-vent in Fish, and I must say that it was cooked well, the creaminess isn't overwhelming. Kudos to the people in the kitchen. Went for dinner with some friends, we had an amazing time. Started with some drinks at the bar downstairs to continue upstairs in a beautifully designed restaurant! The concept of sharing, local ingredients and natural wine is very nice! We will most definitely come back! Thanks to the waiters!
