Marco and Gustavo were great!! This was our second time visiting, drinks and food are awesome. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting and not looking for a party ambience but more for a chill vibe. Not your typical nachos and burgers place, but a more authentic Mexican cuisine. We spent a day at Malecon21 during our cruise on Wonder of the Seas last week. I can’t say enough great things about this place! Everything was beautiful and clean, someone even raked the seaweed during the day! The servers were very attentive and never left us waiting for food or drinks (which were delicious)! We had a massage on the beach which was very relaxing and there were also kayaks available to rent which we didn’t have time to take advantage of but looked in great condition. You must go here! It is definitely my favorite place in Mahahual for food, drinks and beach club! Very nice atmosphere, the service is friendly and obliging, the food is excellent! I had breakfast, lunch for two days and everything was perfect!!! Their coffee is delicious (!!!), the poached eggs perfectly cooked and well presented. Their hamburger is the most perfect I have ever had! I highly recommend it to order. As usually I don’t order hamburgers in Mexico. But I needed to share my food with my furry friend so I decided to order a hamburger. Really outstanding experience!!! I also liked the relaxing atmosphere at their beach and music they play there. This was an awesome (and a bit lucky) find for us. We had planned on visiting another beach club during our stay in Mahahual, but ended up here instead and got the better outcome. We purchased the $40pp visit option online which basically provided a beach chair and a $40 food/drink allowance for each guest for however long we wished to stay. Though we didn't end up spending even the allowed amount and we all left full and happy at days end, it was a great deal. The service was incredibly friendly, quick, and professional. They joked with our kids, and they even brought sand toys (which we didn't bring) for our younger kids to play with. There were paddle boarding and snorkeling options with a 30 yard walk in either direction, along with a small massage provider on their beach. There was no seaweed, and the water was calm and the kids could wade out 100 meters and still be only armpit deep. The food was fantastic. We had ceviche, poke bowls, tacos, every non-alcoholic beverage they offered, guacamole, street corn and marrow, their burger (pretty good, even for a noted burger snob that I am) and a couple of kids menu offerings. All were great. So was dessert. When the time came to leave they had a taxi on hand for us in no time. We would ABSOLUTELY return for a day of relaxation next time we visit Mahahual. We came to Malecon 21 when our Royal Caribbean cruise ship was docked at the Costa Maya port. It was a $4 per person cab ride to the resort, which was at the south end of Mahahual. It took about 10 minutes to get there from the cruise port. We did the Freedom package, which was $40 per person to reserve a spot on their private beach, but the $40 just went toward anything we ordered. We spent the day lounging and met the $40 minimum easily. The loungers were padded and way more luxurious than the other clubs we passed along the beach. The service was phenomenal and they were always around anytime we needed something. The water had some weeds, but they kept the beach clear of seaweed and the music was great. Malecon was an excellent first experience in Costa Maya. The gold package is a great value which includes a meal and unlimited drinks from a select menu of which there was a good variety for most tastes. The tuna tartare was of exceptional quality and freshness. We also had the guacamole and shrimp tacos, both of which were well seasoned, prepared, and plated. Our servers, Angel and Pablo, were very attentive to all our needs and checked on us frequently. Their warm hospitality is really what made the day perfect! Although we had some other guests around us who were more than a bit obnoxious, Pablo and Angel kept making sure that we were enjoying ourselves the entire time and genuinely cared about us. 10/10 would go back! Honestly incredible. I’m a boujee girl and this was it. It’s not some massive over the top place but it’s perfect. Food, unreal. The cutest decor, the cutest canopies and chairs. It was giving Tulum without all the hype. Also, it’s on a road that’s great if you wanna get some souvenirs. They have vendors but not in an annoying way. The whole 3 hours we were there only four different vendors stopped by: braids, massage, bracelets/hats. Highly recommend!! All the staff were nice friendly accommodating and quick! If you would like to spend your day in a quite and relaxing spot with good food and drink, this is the place. The restaurant with beach view is located in the end of the beach side. The place is very clean and new. In order to stay on the beach, minimum spend on food and drink is 40 USD per person. Average cocktails/ food price: 9USD+. Staffs are attentive, honest and helpful. It’s convenient that they take card without service charge. The payment is in peso, when it hit our bank, the usd amount is as expected. Overall experience is good. We reserved our spots online and had to make some last minute changes due to cruise line docking changes but they were quick to respond and very helpful. They have an excellent, chill beach club. I enjoyed the vibe and our server Fernando was outstanding. The area in the water is a little small because they have nets surrounding it to block the seaweed but it’s still large enough to cool off in and float around. Drinks were tasty and the food was excellent. We had our fill of food and drinks and didn’t spend more than the $30 per person that we prepaid. Cab ride from the port was reasonable and took about 10min. The facility itself is very pretty and stylish. A very relaxing and enjoyable spot, I would return!
