A beautiful view of the watering hole in a stunning setting. Great infrastructure which was well kept. The service team were friendly and welcoming. Eager to please. Unfortunately the food did not match th3 standards with my lasagne being burnt and crusty, the fries were under cooked and my friend's burger patties were dry and overcooked. The view is fantastic, building is great. The food is the worst I have eaten anywhere. Strong flavours clamouring to out-compete one another that do not go together. Duck was overcooked enough to have the mouth feel of shoe leather. Pork belly was meant to be tandoori flavoured- already an odd choice - but was instead tasting of bovril. I would recommend this place for a drink overlooking the watering hole, but attempt to eat at your peril - except the bread, that was tasty. Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
Beautiful setting with very attentive staff. Very nice African menu well executed and presented beautifully. Started with cheese stuffed mushroom. Being a game nut I had the venison which was very good. My wife ordered the chicken, not adventurous, also very good. For dessert, we had a trio of ice cream and a home made cake.

Stunning views, beautiful infrastructure. The food was not good. Fries were not cooked and my "medium" burger was tough, dry and bland. Drink selection was thin. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Watched the vulture lunch and then ate our own lunch. The man who presented was very passionate about protecting the vultures and it was awesome to watch them feed. The food at the restaurant was good and the service was great. The view is lovely and we saw many animals come to drink while we were there.

We went there for the lunch time Vulture restaurant feeding that happens daily at 1300. Led by the excellently spoken Zulu, who narrated and taught us about the conservation efforts of the restaurant in terms of the vulture population. It was a sight to behold as the vultures, eagles’ circles and nested in trees in anticipation of the feeding time. Watching Zulu place the meat in the clearing and then the birds attack the bones and meat was a sight to behold. Being so close to the action and learning about the impact of humans, poachers, farmers, electrical poles on the population and behavior of the vultures was enlightening. Well worth the experience, if not for the experience of seeing a feeding, then for learning more about vultures and their important role in balancing the ecosystem in their roles as the cleaners of the wild and as undertakers.
This is not just fine dining but also excellent food and friendly staff and service, and in a beautiful setting and atmosphere. There is a good selection on the menu to choose from and reasonably priced for a hotel of this calibre. A La Carte menu with delicious food and cocktails and drinks 🍸 to choose from. JGT.
