Hey Y’all - The Pirate Hunter back with another review for a great restaurant m! I had an amazing dining experience at Madres in Summerville, SC on Bacons Bridge Rd! The chips and salsa, along with the cheese dip, were the perfect way to kick off the meal. The chicken quesadilla and chicken enchilada were absolutely delicious and left me craving for more. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere made this visit even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return for another delectable meal! 5 stars! Went to this restaurant when they first opened and the food, service and atmosphere was good! This was before pandemic. Went again this past week and ordered the same item (grilled chicken quesadilla). Not very good, chewy and luke warm!! Also asked for extra guacamole and was told it would be $3 charge. Got my bill and was charged $4.99 for a portion in a little cup!! My Mom and sister did not care for the food either!! We’ll never be back because there are so many better Mexican style restaurants in the area!! Very disappointed!! Food was a pretty good, atmosphere was positive and felt nice, service was good. In my opinion, they did not provide enough corn tortillas for the size of the meal. The seating wasn't't comfortable, in that it was just hard wood, No cushion in the booths. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I went there for dinner with my daughters Saturday night. It is a very casual place so you don't have to get dressed up. Their food is amazing!! We all got different things and we were all happy with what we got! Also, I highly recommend you get their hot salsa. It is the best salsa I have ever had. I have been searching for the perfect salsa and I finally found it at Madres'!!!! It is a small business so go support them and get a delicious meal. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The food and service here is top notch. Everything was delicious, and I really appreciate the attention we got. I only took away one star because we had to ask for water. I am pregnant and was craving authentic Mexican food and Madres is not authentic. I was really disappointed especially with all the high reviews (which was surprising to me). The food was good for... food.. but not for Mexican. Taco bell is closer to authentic then what this place is. The portion sizes were good however, but if I am wanting Mexican food again, this will not be the place I will go to. The food is exceptional! Our plates, when provided to us, were presented like a 5 star restaurant. Of the many Mexican restaurants in the area I would highly recommend Madres. BTW they are moving to downtown Summerville this summer which is great news for us since we live Nexton. Small restaurant yet family owned and authentic Mexican cuisine. We ordered the madre steak salad which was good but bland, it needed a bit more salt. We also had chicken nachos and that was great. The one thing that threw me off is that you do not get chips and salsa unless you order food, anything. They were fast to serve us and made sure we were well taken care of through our meal and after. The atmosphere is inviting and very home like. There was only one server and one cook, so it’s a sit yourself restaurant. All in all the pricing was fair for the portion of lunch we got. The only thing that needs improvement is the sitting area and a bit more attention to detail when it comes to the ordering of the food as we had asked for some items to be removed due to some allergies and they weren’t therefore we did it ourselves. Just pay a bit more attention next time.

Love me some madre's. Have been going to madre's since they opened. Always good food and friendly service. I enjoy the enchiladas with green mole' and my wife will have a Madre bowl, nachos, or a burrito. She enjoys them all. Definitely one of our go-to restaurants for a quick and delicious meal.
