Luckenbach is hard to explain with words. You just need to go. First and foremost, it's in the GREAT state of Texas. But it's like walking into the wild West you see on TV. It has this 1800's feel to it, and it's very laid back. Keep in mind it's a tourist/hangout spot, but if you get there and the right person is working the counter at the General Store, you can learn ALL about the history of the town, and don't forget to pet the General Store cats. Usually there is some form of live entertainment, shopping souvenirs, and yes, beer. This IS Texas, I'm pretty sure they're required to have beer. On our first trip there, the burger stand was open and I was told they're very good. The second time it wasn't open, so I missed out on that, but I will be back. I can't stay away from Texas for too long.
Always a place to visit when in the area, especially on the motorcycle with friends.
We got the chance this year with the eclipse 2023 event and it was the perfect spot. Lots of visitors and a great view of the eclipse.
Love the riding and backroads in this area and Luckenbach tops it off. Music, beer, shop, and the food truck is awesome! Great burgers for sure!
Be sure to wander around and check out all the buildings, lots of history and stories!
We went on Sunday evening Labor Day weekend. They had an event that included Mutton Busting and Bull Riding with two live bands playing through out the night. Cover charge was $20 advanced or $25 at the gate. The bull riding was awesome! Cowboys and bulls of all ages. The food trucks were scattered throughout the property between the shops and band stages. The bbq was delicious, the beers were cold, the shops were filled with so much I wanted!
We enjoyed every minute of the nostalgia we felt, cowboy excitement, and food. It would be five stars except the band that played after the rodeo unfortunately was not good and did not live up to the hype that Waylon sang about. We went specifically hoping to hear amazing music and it fell so short.
The fact that a song made this place famous was disappointing that the standard for the band wasn’t higher. They said they had three albums out but seemed very unprofessional, stopped the show because of a mike stand he didn’t like, sang a lot of their original music that just wasn’t what one would expect from the venue. I kept thinking if they didn’t open with THE song I was going to be disappointed but the more they played, I was glad they didn’t attempt it and ruin it even more for me.
The real deal. One of the very best authentic places to visit and just “be” in all of Texas
T Roy Miller was a gift from God to listen to! What an AMAZING, most talented, musical artist.
What a cool place to visit and get to know some of the local history. Love the old buildings, dance hall and gift shops.
I can't wait to visit again and actually get to listen to some real down home Texas country music.
What a fun place Luckenbach Loop, Tx. Country Music venue that is open to the public when the music isn't playing. Clean restrooms, food truck, bar, dancehall and general store are all open. Check it out if you're in the are. We will be back!
On Friday night we drove by because we missed our turn to find this cute and interesting place. On Saturday we decided to check it out and we found out a country concert 😳 what a nice surprise. We had a blast at Luckenbach Texas.
Attended the patriotic festivities for Texas Independence Day. Our State's heritage was diligently remembered and so aptly honored. The Flag Retirement Ceremony, historical readings, live music, cannon firings and general goodwill were all part of this year's program displaying the deep appreciation of our collective pride in The Great State of Texas. It was an honor to be there!
