The food was absolutely amazing! The place is very clean. I would definitely recommend the Birria! Also, I always love the free chips and salsa in case you're just coming out for beers. The experience at Los Ranchos restaurant was excellent. The service of the waiter Alfredo stood out for his quality of service. I would like to praise the way they give us a margarita tasting, explain their procedure, consistencies and ingredients; He also shared with us some of his special sauce called "Diabla" Very spicy. Sorry but Unimpressed. Nothing feels or tastes authentic, unless authentic is bland. Service is slow. Margaritas come from a gallon jug of pre-mix. Same 109 page menu as any other mexican restaurant. I visited Los Ranchos Restaurant with my wife to celebrate my birthday and I thought the service was fantastic, the food was very delicious and the service from the waiter Alfredo was fantastic from the beginning to the end, he asked me about my favorite color after having asked the sample reason and promised to surprise me and finally he did so by bringing me a complimentary shot of my favorite color along with his colleagues. It's been very hit or miss going here. The first time we went to try it out we made the mistake of going on a Tuesday evening. We didn't get any service after being seated for an hour along with many other tables, and like those tables we left. We gave them another chance. We went again with much more success. It was decent food at decent prices, but the wait staff was still slow in a way that seemed simply unmotivated. We will probably be back because of the proximity to home, but if there was a sit down Mexican restaurant closer I'm not so sure. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Los Ranchos, Mexican restaurant is one of our two favorite Mexican restaurants in the Grand Rapids area. Conveniently located on Baldwin Avenue in Jenison. It is a newer restaurant that has earned its place in the local community by consistently serving, outstanding Mexican food dishes in a pleasant setting with attentive staff. Today I had the Rancho Taco Salad, which is a go to for me, and it was as delicious as always. I truly appreciate the consistency and quality and presentation of their food. Wish I could leave zero stars had 20 different people from friends and family meet here as we were told they could seat us within 10 minutes they told us they were full after having everyone drive there. If you have anything over a couple people I do not recommend this place. Hostess we spoke to was very rude and did not express any sympathy for what they did.

Went there for my son's birthday because he had heard they put a hat on you and sing happy Birthday (Never happened). The food order was wrong 3x. My youngest never did get his meal at all. We got 2 burritos and the meat smelled sour and was so bad. Service was below average. We told them how unsatisfied we where and offered not charge and some gift cards. They tried to make it right, but the bad smelling beef was soo bad that we won't be back. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
