We were taken at the cruise port taxi stand because you know, we are suckers. The place that works in cahoots with this place said the original place we wanted to go to .....we couldn't go to..... so we went here. Ridiculous entry fee for umbrellas chairs and buckets of beers. Wanted money for wifi too. Way overpriced. Place was a bit of a dump. But to make things worse, when we got the bill we were upcharged on menu items and then they added some ridiculous tax. Scammers do not go here. It's a dump. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

Price ratio to other locations on the beach was inexpensive. But the lounge chairs are packed so tight one understands how it must feel in a can of sardines. The service also suffers because of the mass tourisum effect. I don't reccommend it. Did not stay long enough to order any food. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

SCAM ALERT!!! They show you a fake menu in Mexican pesos to lure you in, but then they charge you a different and more expensive price in USD and justify it with another menu with different prices. Avoid at all costs. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

You literally cannot enjoy your food or conversation without someone trying to sell you purses, cigars, shells, shirts, bracelets every 2 minutes. Skip this whole town. And it wasn't really cheap. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

My husband and I did not have anything scheduled for cost Maya while on the carnival Dream in May2023. Beach was clean and the service was wonderful. We had the nachos which was a very large it could feed up 4 people. Perfect for family pictures with Carnival in the back ground. It has net around it so there is no seaweed. The bathroom was semi clean and had wifi..they serve the food for tjose seating at the beach. It's so so crowed The beach is filled with see weed which they pile up in front of ur chairs. I would not go back here. If you are on a cruise..stay in the costa Maya not worth the trip at all..

The service here is SUPER PUSHY. The second tourist enters their view they swarm all over and pretend they dont speak english but they do when they need to sell you sonething, which is non-stop! I did not have enough cash so they sent me to another shop to use credit card where they promptly ripped me off on the exchange rate. The beach is nice and surrounded by net. We were taken here by the taxi in our cruise trip when we went on a port excursion. The beach is more like a logoon. The water is clear torquoise, no waves, and definitely fun to be in. However, the place itself is terrible. The toilet was flooded, and shower was dirty. Our kids wanted to eat something, so we ordered two items. After a long wait, they brought the wrong items and insisted that is what we had ordered. When refusing to accept the item, the staff, including the manager, insisted on making us pay for the items or call police. The attitude was very rude, service was pitiful. "You are not in your country" is what they had to say when asking logical questions about customer service. The nearby beaches are better, but I couldn't vouch for the service. The fish tacos were stuffed with so much fish!!! Great homemade chips pico and guac. Excellent service too.
