Came in for dinner on a whim and got ribs as a starter. WOW they were delicious and only took a few minutes to arrive. Got 2 Ocean burgers and chips and they were absolutely delicious but those ribs slap hard. Definitely geting them as a main next time. Thumbs up to the Chefs 👍 The staff are all very friendly and despite it being busy it was very well run and managed hats off to the manager and staff. I will be back for my birthday shout out to the girl who served us I think her name was Sophie you made my grandfather's evening with your great service 😊 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–40

Very dark,no atmosphere. $24 for the burger but then you have to pay another $6.50 to add about 10 chips. Over $30 for burger and chips is ridiculous Not impressed. Went to silver dollar so much better. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

By far the worst steaks we have ever seen. Bland and flavourless steak like they boiled any hint of flavour out of it and then then grilled it on a heat that’s clearly to low. The steak was unseasoned along with the potatoes. They added an additional $2 charge for aioli sauce without informing us. The fish and chips also lacked any flavour and the chips were all somehow soggy. The restaurant has tightly packed tables in such a small premises that it’s borderline claustrophobic. Not to mention they couldn’t even fit a bathroom in the place you have to go outside for that. I would not recommend dining here, avoid at all costs. Typical lone star , good food friendly staff. It's a bit noisy, but that can't be helped . I went back last night , same great food etc . But noticed the lack of staff , the waitress did an amazing job of trying to keep up with everything bit they were so understaffed it was impossible. We got our meals and drinks but had noticeable delays . This really falls on management not having enough staff on the floor . They were run off their feet but kept their composure. I would suggest lone star start taking better care of staff before they loose them . 💯well done to the staff on Wednesday night you guys were awesome. Lovely staff, super warm and inviting. We spent the night loving the music and the food. The only issue was we all had sticker shock at the end. Would have been nice if the menu reflected (or the staff said) that some options are dearer, ie Dixie chicken was only explained as classic or not. I loved it, but if I am honest, the pricing is a letdown. 2 chicken breasts with coleslaw and roast potatoes should not cost over $45. Would go back but know better next time. Lone Star is a well established chain offering a fusion of local and Tex Mex food. The service we received was good and our food and drinks arrived promptly. Serving sizes are generous. There was a small mix up when I received the entrees size prawn rather than the mains. When we went to pay the manager was most apologetic and made good by discounting our desert. We arrived at LS Rolleston at 3:18pm, as we were meeting friends there for a meal. Restaurant just had a few diners inside & a few more outside. The atmosphere was nice & low key. I must say it's pretty dark inside the restaurant a bit more lighting could be good. The service was great, & the portion size for each meal ordered matched price paid. Plenty room for toddlers & small kids to play outside, which makes for a true family friendly experience. Well done. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our waitress Amber was amazing. All the staff at Lone Star Rolleston tonight were really put through their paces and worked great together as a Team on a very busy Monday night. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
