Most 1st time dining experiences are good, but rarely flat out amazing. I have to say that lunch here was amazing as well as the service by Darrell. I had a Hatch Burger and Fries and my fiancé had a Reuben Sandwich. Both were fantastic as well as the spiral fries. Highly Recommended! Really cute place! We sat in the bar and went twice this week. It was busy but didn't feel crowded. I got a seat where I could look out the window and see the trees. We split many appetizers to try everything out and our favorites were the baked Brie and the cheese bites. The brie was served with a spicy honey. The cheese bites were gooey and flakey and filling and I will get those again next time. I love that this place has mocktails alongside the cocktails. Both are delicious! I attended an event at the Lively Station over the weekend and had a very nice experience. In case you haven't been there before, they have a private room off of their patio that seats 12 people comfortably. Being that the holiday season is in full swing, it was very festive with the decorations. The ambiance and serve were fantastic. I had the fish tacos, which were Guinness battered cod, crema amarilla, calabrian salsa, radicchio slaw, corn flour tortilla, micro cilantro, which were simply delicious. They have a good variety of dishes on their menu, including vegan. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just discovered this place and we love it. Food was delicious. I had a BLT. Lots of bacon, heirloom tomatoes, and a black something garlic spread. He had a smash burger. Both were really good. Burger sauce was yummy. The fries were great! Don't miss 'em! We ate in the bar. Nice atmosphere. There's a little deck off the bar for outdoor dining. Service was quick. Took my family here for the first time since moving to salem from pdx. AMAZING service. Each of us adored the server we had today, although I can’t remember his name. He was very educated on the beverages offered, attentive to my gluten allergy, really cared about his job, and it all showed. Best service we have had in a very long time anywhere. They forgot my gluten free bun at first, but that was no biggie, they brought a fresh bun AND a huge slab of a rice krispy treat for me on the house because they felt bad! Just amazing amazing will recommend forever and make this a frequent place to visit. 👍🏻 Love the gluten free options, it’s all so easy to read on the menu. Also the best mocktail I have ever had. This place was highly recommended and I finally got to experience for myself with a large group for the holidays. It was amazing! Great food, excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. Found Lively Station while driving down River Rd and decided to stop in and have a late lunch. Great Decision! Walked in to very friendly staff. Micah, our waiter, was awesome and attentive. I asked him if he would recommend the Argentine Bocadillo sandwich. He hands down said this was his favorite. It was sooo delicious, tender steak with sweet potatoes (a nice touch) and grilled onion on a nice fresh, soft french roll with a softly spicy sauce. I gave my husband and bite and he said we are coming back so he could order this. Truly awesome. Hubby had the Cornflake Chicken Sandwich, he said it was not greasy and very juicy. The vibe is very nice, and they play cool music. Also, a nice selection of bottled wines. Can't wait to come back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lively Station was a good experience for the most part. We came for dinner with a group of friends, and were pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food was. I had New York strip, while my husband had a smash burger. I would love to see a better option with the steak then seasoned vegetables and squash puree. Maybe mashed potatoes or a baked potato, but none the less it was divine!We also enjoyed a few cocktails. Everything was delicious, and on par (for the most part) price wise for other eateries in Salem. Now here is why they only get 4 stars. We had a party of 6 and were told at seating that the check(s) could not be split more than twice. A few people had come solo and were paying for their own. In what modern age restaurant can checks not be separated. No one carries cash in most recent times, so we had to figure out who owes who and what method to pay our friends because our check couldn't be split. We were told that this should have been made aware to us when we called for a table earlier in the week, and it was not. That and the mandatory 20% gratuity is why they get 4 stars. We don't mind paying a decent tip, but be up front about that. If I could change anything it would be the cocktail pricing...it seems a small cocktail I venture 6 Oz. shouldn't be more than 8$ but these were 10! If it wasn't a bit far out for us, we would probably eat again, but for now we'll stick to special occasions. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

The wife and I had a wonderful lunch. Attentive and friendly staff. There are two areas for seating - the bar or the dining area, we chose the quaint and casual dining area. The wife had a delicious BLT with a garden salad with a very flavorful vinaigrette dressing. I had a juicy and mouthwatering "Station Smashburger" with pepper jack cheese - probably my favorite burger in Salem so far. The fries were crispy and hot with a side of ranch dressing. We finished off with a raspberry ginger cheesecake which was satisfactory.

We have been here a few times and each visit is a little better than the last. This latest visit was for a quick afternoon snack and I was surprised we had only a few options though we got the Brussel sprouts and they were amazing. I think full meals work best here and I need to come back to try a full lunch or dinner. The patio area is fabulous and I love how old the building is and how well they preserved the interior. There is also a large detached room that looks perfect for private events or for business meetings. Tons of parking and a great location adds to the value. Give this place a try!!
