This charming little restaurant serves up quality and fresh foods with some of the best service available in Florence. Upon walking in we were greeted with a warm smile and offered a table. The decor was comfortable. The place felt clean and well organized. We chose to have lunch and we made it just in time. It was 11:29 and lunch starts at 11:30. We had a couple of the veggie burgers, onion rings and clam chowder. The chowder was delicious with a strong clam flavor, potatoes and cream. They take cash or checks for payment. But don't worry if you have only have a credit card. There is an Atm in the restuarant. The little brown hen is on our list to visit for breakfast or lunch on any future visit to Florence.

Stopped by for brunch date with my boyfriend on our way through town, and ordered the eggs benedict. I immediately noticed it was family owned, the owner was greeting costumers and his son was working as a server. Both were friendly, and made an effirt to make you feel welcomed. No wait to be seated, which was nice as I was expecting to have to wait, and service was friendly and prompt. Food was better than expected, I could tell the hollandaise was made from scratch, and although we had to wait about 20 minutes for the food to come out, it was well worth the wait! Will definitely come back! Don't forget to bring cash as it is a cash only restaurant, fortunately they do have an ATM inside just in case you have card. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

Very nice place, clean and friendly. Cash and check only and I am very cool with that.
Last year I had a fish sand with a salad, was very good. This year not good. Fish, bun, lettuce all good. Tarter sauce was runny like milk and had lots of dill. Wanted the chirps but wasn't told till after receiving food that they were out(I would of gotten a salad if was given the choice) so they gave me regular french fries. I waited 20 minutes to even place my order when there were only four tables there and three had already had their food. Especially
since one of the two servers looked at me when I walked in and then again walked past me while I was seated. Was also charged a $1 for a takeout order, also a surprise. After 30 minutes I received my order gave more than a 20% tip, I use to be a server. Walked the 70' to my car and found that fish and fries were like warm at best.
Very disappointed for my $20
There is one RV parking spot and you will have to back out onto the hwy because I know my RV couldn't make the turn to a side Rd/alley to get out of their parking lot.
Disappointed in the quality of food, service and added costs.

Food was delicious! It was my first time being there, it doesn’t seem like they are used to ‘newbies’. I asked to keep my menu to look at after we ordered because their menu is quite large and more updated than what you see online. The waiter seemed to be a little irritated by that? Not sure why, it’s laminated and there weren’t that many people there. Food was delicious, I really enjoyed it! But I can’t help but feel like this shady! The cash only rule seems a little odd, especially when they attempted to charge us +15$ more than our total on top of up charging a few items from menu price 🙈. I really wanna say I’ll give this place another try because the food was good but the irritated attitude of the waiter combined with the money issue has the back of my mind screaming is this tax evasion? Or just a mild coincidence?

This is a really special place. Definitely stop by if you are in the area. The service is excellent, the food was delicious. I loved the homemade corned beef. Excellent flavors! They have homemade jam which was to die for. They also have beignets and donut holes. The specialty coffees are lovely. I really enjoyed my flat white. My husband had the chicken and waffles and loved them. I came for the homemade French toast and never even got to try it. Will definitely have to be back next time I’m around this way. This would be my neighborhood restaurant if I lived here.

It was pretty good, but pricy for what was offered. Google said cards are accepted; they are not, so bring a wad of cash.
Fried chicken was excellent and the candied bacon in the Bloody Maria was delicious, but for value for money it wasn't great. Also felt a little rushed out despite the fact that there were plenty of open tables.
